I'm addicted to JDM and I blame all of you. Talking with Stanley from Torque Golf and he's determined to make me poor. I picked up the itobori driver, hybrid, and custom grind wedges. The driver head has impressed me. Low spinning bomber for sure. The deep face and classic shape are great to look down at at address. I'm hoping I'll enjoy the hybrid and wedges just as much.

These blades are going to keep me up at night, simply gorgeous.

There used to be a fella on eBay who was an authentic dealer for itobori but he has all but disappeared. He had great prices on the iron heads posted above. If you take the dive, let us know how they work.

I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger. I love my cb501s and I know nothing could kick them out of the bag. The itoboris would be nice to rotate in every once in a while and they just look so good!

I love the look of these clubs, and I follow them on instagram.  I don't know if I could get myself to use them though!  Imagine having to hit them out of bad lies....

I have been living in Okinawa for the past 4 years and started playing golf when I got out here.  I have been hooked ever since.  The equipment out here is very attractive and the clubs feel just as good as they look.  I have picked up a set of the 2015 OnOff Kuro forged irons, a progressive set of the Tourstage 709 Limited X-Blades, a set of Cold Forged wedges, and an Arc1 putter (believe these are sold only in Japan still).  Can't think of a better place to be for a golfer.

How are the greens fees, as compared to outside Japan?

it is also amazing that there are so many quality brands to choose from and many of them are unfamiliar names to most golfers..

i never even heard of the Giga brand before i got some of their clubs and their quality is topnotch..

they are all pricier than most USDM clubs but well worth it..

I have not played a round in the states but I am sure they are pricier.  Luckily, there a three military courses here (one is a par 3 course) that have good deals and prices.  The courses are not pristine but they are well maintained for the most part and the views are incredible.  There are probably about 20 courses to play on the island and they range anywhere from about 50$ up to about 200$.  Carts are mandatory most places and they fit 4 people.  But, you get to play all year round unless we get unlucky with typhoons.

It is also very easy to find cheap flights to Thailand, the Philippines, Bali, and other places that have great, cheap golf.

The equipment is a bit pricier but sometimes you can luck out with the exchange rate.  I paid about $650 for a set of (4-PW) new OnOff's.  There are golf stores everywhere and you can usually find some good deals if you look hard enough.  But overall you will be paying a bit more than what the US has to offer.

Okinawa is the safest place I have lived.  As far as N. Korea goes, been hearing about them doing shady things consistently for the past four years.  Still here though...
