I've been trying to find my son (6 going on 7) a set of used US Kids UL48 clubs.  I can't seem to find much on eBay or Craigslist.  Am I missing something? Do they not get posted very often on there?

the UL 48 is a very popular set.  I would think that anything that gets posted is sold fairly quickly.  Also, with kids sets I feel as though a lot of parents just give them away or trade them at a local shop when they up-size.

I'll have to go to some my local stores to see if they have any! :-)

You can also check on the outlet section on the US Kids site. They sometimes have previous year clubs at a reduced price.

There is no resale value for US Kids clubs.   You can pick up a brand new set for $180.00.  I think it would be safe to say that a used set would be pretty beat up.

I have two sets of used clubs (39 and 45) and I would be embarrassed to ask someone to pay me for them. They're a wreck.

I hear you.  Maybe best to just bite and buy him new clubs.

I looked around forever and ended up finding them on GlobalGolf (45 and 51) when they had some stackable discounts.  Showed up with plastic still on them and ended up around $100/set.

I'll have to check in on you when my son is ready for the UL-54 set to see if you're ready to sell that one. :-D

BTW - just a small rant -- why doesn't US Kids ship their woods/hybrids with head covers??? It seems a little shady to sell them separately.

I'll have a couple sets in good shape soon. I also don't understand why people on here don't sell more sets. Seems like it should be the ideal place to buy and sell kids clubs.

There is a thread in the Junior section on this topic.

There is very little to no resale value in Junior Clubs.  Most people pay it forward and hand down to a family friend or someone in need in the community.  It isn't like a set is costing thousands of dollars.  A brand new set of 51" UL's will cost you less than $200.00.  Better off getting them new rather than getting used clubs that have been beat to hell.

When it gets into the older kids, there is zero value in their modified clubs.  They are cut down and adjusted so much that not many people want to fool with them.

Keep looking around. At our local Golf Mart there are a couple boxes of used kids clubs.  if you have a local store with used clubs, talk to the manager, they'll make a deal.

I certainly understand that if it is your first set of clubs then a set of USKG 45's that are all beat up is attractive. For the record, my kid started on a a USKG UL45 6-club set we found at Play It Again Sports for $30.  They were beat up...but not too beat up. Heck, when he grew out of those to the UL48's (which we got new), we sold the UL45 set back to Play It Again for $15 store credit (and bought him a used Wilson baseball glove!!).  My plan is to alternate on the new/used clubs. His next set will need to be used USKG TS51's which we already have a line on from a friend's kid. He's currently playing new UL48's (6-PW + SW) and used TS51 Driver and TS51 3-wood I got for $15/each at Golf Mart. The only expensive thing he will be playing (after the fat man delivers it on December 25th) is a brand new PING Karsten TR Anser 5 that I won at a vendor tournament/outing.

I certainly can not justify spending that much money on their clubs at this age. It doesn't matter if your kid wins USKG tourney's at this age. IMHO, what matters is they develop the skills, learn to deal with adversity and build a love for the game at this stage.

Further evidence of my penny pinching: You know those alignment sticks they sell for $15? You can get them for $1.80/each at Home Depot ( https://www.homedepo...81ODM/202498049
