I should clarify. I'm a huge Krank fan and I already have it (3* head), but I'm up in the air about it.
They claim the Ball Speed is up. Numbers from the Long Drive event in Mesquite earlier this month seem to validate that! Tim Burke repeatedly had a 1.52 Smash Factor with it (Higher than anyone with the Callaway XR or Formula 6)
Not sold on feel, sound and dimensions though.  Tinny feel.  Face is 0.25" less deep than the Formula 6.  Near .25" increase in width of face though (I'd rather have depth).  Straight, but not as straight as the Formula 6.  With that said, all Krank drivers deserve respect there - they make some of the most accurate drivers in the world.
Im dying to hear others thoughts...

Thanks for the reply. That's been a tough thing for them to do. Not certain their return policy is too welcoming either.
I do NOT want to lose the additional ball speed but I feel like the Sound, Feel, Shape, and Accuracy are better on the Formula 6.
I like to think (not arrogantly - I am super grateful to be able to play golf) that I am a pretty darn good driver/tester too, but maybe that's due to the Formula 6 being such a great club.  I'm hoping more people will have some opinions on the 7...or 6.  Thanks in advance.

I don't blame you for seeking out some other opinions with folks who have actually hit the club. If you are hitting the 6 that well, it's unlikely that the 7 will be a game changer for you. Sometimes newer isn't always better, or if it's better it may not be better enough to make a change and spend all that money. For example, I had a friend go in for a driver fitting. He had the R15 and wanted to try the new M1 and M2. He was getting about 1 more yard with the newer drivers. The fitter said to stick with the R15.

Good thoughts - thank you!  I used to buy a driver every year but now I'm maturing and settling down for one every two :) I'll stick with the 6 for a bit longer than that now.

I would love to see that too.  At the World Long Drive event on the Golf Channel, the Formula 7 hit 1.52 Smash on 3 separate occasions.  The Callaway topped at 1.51 twice.
However, Burke said himself that he was "surprised" at two balls that he hit perfectly which didn't go like he expected.  One of them was 146mph, 1.52 Smash, 125' apex that ended at 401 (many went 425+). I'm aware there are many other factors but that Seemed short for how ideal those numbers are.  I've experience that 5+ times with the 7. PERFECT shots that end up 10-12 shy of my typical spots!!

I'd be interested to hear some feedback on the F7 as well.  I still game a Rage.  However, I just hit a friends Ping G and bombed it just as far even though the loft and shaft weren't my ideal setup.  So right now I'm thinking of going to Ping.

Welcome to the life of a high swing speed, low handicap lefty. I didn't hit a single club in my bag before buying it.
