Funny, insightful, humble, informative... It is great to see him get a wider opportunity and show his down-to-earth style.

He has been the highlight of BBC coverage for years and is a welcome addition to Fox's coverage.

The infatuation with golf announcers on this board is quite scary.  You simply do not find that in any other sport.

I enjoyed "Brownie Points" also.

Back when he played on the European Tour and Ryder Cup, he was slower than Kevin Na caddying for Ben Crane and Glenn Day.

I think Ken Brown is great, and he did a wonderful job at Erin Hills.

You can tell that "Brownie" loves the game; he is a student as much as he is a player, and he imparts his wisdom in very much a humble and unassuming way.  It's never about him ... it's about the game.

This just isn't true.  Pick a sport and you can identify multiple announcers/commentators/media personalities or whatever you want to call them that fans have iconized for some reason or another.

Totally agree that its ridiculous, though haha

Agree.  They take it to another level in the MLB forums.

I especially loved that whiteboard business where he used yellow and beige markers on white and then placed it so that the sun glared off of it.

That was a real treat.

Well, Faxon and Buck yell into the mic like they are in the superdome with 60,000 screaming fans. In comparison, someone speaking at a regular volume will sound relatively dead silent.
Former professional golfer. Current amateur human being. Reformed club ho.

I would find it odd to have an infatuation with golf announcers while watching NFL Football.

Speaking of infatuations... Erin Andrews.

Every time I see this topic go by, it reminds me that punctuation is everything:

I have a "small-man" crush on Ken Brown

or

I have a small "man-crush" on Ken Brown.

I concur.

He's got a touch of "I like to watch you sleep" about him.

Also, Alliss is quite mad.

The former involves very strong Little People who smell of magic and confetti and the latter involves earning 8 bucks the hard way
