When Roy was in the fairway on 18 going on about immortality and no one getting to -10 in the Open ever, not even Nicklaus?

In those days balls spun so much you could hit a 3 wood to the middle of the green and back it up into water!

Oddly enough, Gil Morgan took it to -12 at one point four years before the movie came out.

In the film, McAvoy says no one has "finished" at -10 so they are safe in ignoring Morgan getting to -12.
