I'm looking for a bit of a bigger stand bag that will do well on my clicgear, and I'm considering the Ping Hoofer 14.  Anyone have opinions/reviews who have used it with a pushcart, or could push me in the direction of something similar in size but that fits better?

I've got a hoofer14 on an older clicgear (don't know if it's 2.0 or what).  Seems to fit & work just fine, no real complaints.

The other thing I've read is that the grips can get tangled up. Any issue with that?

I use my Hoofer 14 on a Sun Mountain micro cart, and have no issues with it. I do use additional tie downs around the top just in case, but the new GT Cart has addressed that with built in ones.
My old Ping Four did not work well on it, wriggled around too much

This could be true as the PING 14 is not a true 14 divider bag all the way to the bottom of the bag but I have never owned one...just tried them in the store and I am a PING guy.

BUT I do own the Sun Mountain 4.5 which is a true 14 divider bag and each slot is individual all the way to the bottom of the bag so even a midsize or jumbo grip NEVER gets stuck.  Best stand bag in golf IMHO.

I understand that the dividers are not "full length", but I also understand that the dividers are not on each slot.  Amazon says that there are only 6 dividers.  Which bars get the divders.  Does each of the 14 section have it's own compartment, i.e. divider that goes 3/4 length?  could see how 6 dividers could be used to cover most all the holes but the two at the top.

I think I may have found the answer.  This was on amazon as well.  But it contradicts the 6 dividers statement I say earlier.  Is this correct:

"Total of 14. There are 8 dividers which go almost to the bottom of the bag in the middle channel of the bag. On either side of the middle channel are three semi-divided club slots, which do not go more than halfway down to the bottom"

And finally how stable is this bag at home with out the legs.  I had a 14 way SM C130s and it wont stand with out leaning on a wall.

You might want to keep the 5-way top. ;)

I got a '16 14-way hoofer and a '16 4 series 4-way... I find myself using my 4-series like 90% of the time and will take my 14-way hoofer only in the cart sometimes. Always feels like my clubs are jammed in there with the 14-way and its a damn hassle to remove or put clubs back into the bag when I'm either walking or using my clicgear. $-way def the way to go for me when not in the cart.

Neither bag has full length dividers although the SM bag's dividers do extend further down.  I have the SM 4.5 14 way and the clubs/ grip do get stuck occasionally and in fact 1 or 2 of the dividers have now ripped inside the bag which is causing some problems with my putter grip (may need to get the new 4.5 once it comes out). I had thought the SM dividers were full length but after looking at it further I realized they weren't.  I also use NDMC grips which tend to bind as well causing further problems.  Overall the SM bag is tremendous and it seems to last a lot longer than my former bag, with much sturdier materials used throughout.  Now if SM would replace my 4.5 with a new one I'd be a fan for life (wishful thinking).
