I caddied in a group with him in a Monday qualifier a few years ago. He was insanely long and all around very impressive. I remember just being in awe of how far and high he hit the ball, it literally stayed in the air for what seemed like forever. He was still in high school at the time, and it was clear he was the real deal even back then.

I played with him a few weeks ago...... his game is in shape. Foley has flown in this region since 2012 to get the kid in his stable.... after a sudden back injury, Cameron went back to his grandpa for lessons.... I will not be surprised to see him win on Sunday.

Yes, yes I did.

I think the back injuries are due to scoliosis.  It may actually help with his spine tilt and plane to hit it way far.

And not helped by Foley, you really can't make this up. Hopefully he runs far away so he can have a career instead of wondering what could have been(due to injuries).

Wow.  I think you would be the only person in the world that would not be surprised if that should come to pass - including the kid, his parents, and his friends.

Nothing against him, but it's not like he's a favorite, even as well as he's played this far.

Lol... I have scoliosis and it almost kept me from my current job... knock on wood at 36 years old I've never had a back issue... or even back pain!  As a member of the crooked spine club I'm rooting for this kid !

His grandpa built that swing up when Cam was 2 year old...He was carrying 260 plus at the age of 9.
It will be all lights out in the tour if he is healthy (disk issue)
His iron and putting game are impeccable
on top of that, he is not afraid of anyone

They were saying yesterday that at the top of the backswing he has 100% of his weight on the left foot, then he transfers 100% to his right foot on the downswing. Foley, of course, seems to feel this is ideal.

Personally I can't swing like that and don't believe in it. Nor do I think any great player ever has...but if he is able to do it, more power to him.

I'm no expert on stack and tilt but I think that is one of the tenets.
