I prefer it the most on the tee shots and like 2nd shots into par 5s.  Any other shot I could take or leave it.

Why would other broadcasts not adopt then, they like money right?

probably because you have to pay money for the technology? the return on investment probably isn't there for Fox...how many people do you think are watching the US Open exclusively because they offer shot tracer?

The "technology" is $6.99 on the apple App Store

That app is s***. You just make it up yourself. The protracer on tv uses a track man on every shot.

I'm loving it. I just wish the trace was a tad thicker.

I'm streaming so I don't know if it is different than tv.  When I was watching on tv they had the hole side by side with the live tracer shot.  That was amazing.   On the stream watching protracer  in the sky with a blind landing area is not nearly as amazing.
Ymmv

I appreciate the effort though

They should use it more. I love to see the shot shape of each player- tendencies for fades and draws.

Best feature ever invented for golf broadcasts. Almost like being there. Can learn a ton as a good player too on how guys play certain shots to access hole locations or work to/away from trouble driving it. Seeing the knockdowns on the short par 3 was awesome. Crazy how big some of the misses are too. Makes you feel better about yourself seeing a player hit some crazy wipe or short side himself.

Shot tracer is great. Everybody should use it.

The FOX camera guys who can't follow the ball are horrible.

Holly Sonders enhancements look nice but I liked her before she decided to be on Pornhub.

Should just try it to see to how it is.  In hockey the puck is moving all over the place but in Putting the line is just once to see the terrain. Who knows it might be great.

Did anyone else notice a shot tracer glitch yesterday? can't remember who was hitting, but it was in the last hour or so of the telecast.
The player was still setting up, and the shot tracer went off like 2 sec before the swing! Made me wonder if they are slightly delaying the swings or something to match the shot tracer? And someone messed up the sync?

I'm still in favor, definitely adds to the viewer experience...

I like the pro tracer, but felt Fox maybe overdid it.  On some shots, not informative.  Like on hole #1 PT is not precise enough to show whether tee shot will be in rough, bunker, or hazard.

I like it. I'd like it even more if they showed head speed, ball speed, launch, and spin on all shots as well. They have the data, why not?

I think it's awesome. I've played Erin Hills and it was cool to see the lines they took and where they ended up compared to my paltry in comparison tee balls. And it made me laugh to remember where they tee'd off from compared to where we did. +1000 yards. Good lord.
