Asked this in the US Open thread but it moves pretty quick.

What putter is Els using at the US Open? It's red and looks like a big, heavy shaft that maybe doesn't have a grip on it, just a wrap around the shaft.

Thanks in advance.

I think it was center shafted. But the shaft/grip looks about right.

I thought it was a center shafted Taylormade with the red paint they have been throwing on everything. The very little I could see from it almost looked like the bumpers were sloped a lot like a Bettinardi Queen B 8. I was about to create a thread on this too. Very interested to see it up close.

It is definitely the TM red that Odyssey then copied. At first I thought it was a Cure, but it didn't seem to have the "wings". It's definitely a big putter.

I can't seem to find a picture of it.

Probably is that Bloodline putter that Ryan posted above. Looks like the weights or whatever they are on the bottom are in the correct location and the shaft looks identical.

It definitely was a center shafted blade style(elongated anser) that Bloodline's web site doesn't show.  Everything else looks like a Bloodline.  I'm sure they built Ernie a center shaft proto if that's what he wanted.

I was watching a little bit of the Web.com BMW Pro-Am last month and this must have been what Al Borland (no clue what his real name is) was putting with. He would set the putter up then get behind it and look at how it was lined up, just maddening. I pray that Jim Furyk never gets turned on to one of these putters.

I know someone confirmed it is a bloodline, but when I was watching Ernie yesterday the first thought that came to mind was Cure Putter.  Here is a link from today's photos Travelers.

Whatever it is I saw him use it at the Byron Nelson where he made a 50 foot bomb for eagle during his Sunday round and saved par from far out on the previous hole. It was working that day!

I've putted with a Bloodline putter and had the privilege of testing them out. I've got to say I love it. I'd use it in a heartbeat if they let me keep it. You'd be amazed how quickly you can correct an alignment issue. A little odd with the carbon shaft and built in grip but man it works. I'll putt with anything that helps me make more putts.

Then you should putt with an Axis putter!
