Can think of a few worse.
Sure, he's not great tee to green being a hands and arms player, but Masters = Chipping and putting.
He hardly turns his torso. (typical English woodland\heathland golfer ;) ) .
Don't like his behaviour on the course but he's got heart and bottle and he'll be back.

There are plenty of guys throughout history who have won a major and then not really done much else.  It's called getting hot.

His 05 season automatically removes him from this discussion.

He had 3 top tens in majors that year, beat Tiger to win one.

8 Euro tour wins and a world matchplay title.

Plenty of major champs with worse resumes than his IMO.

I think that's why he gets my vote, and the fact he is totally irrelevant now says wonders.

Danny has not played well since the Masters (and having his first child) but the guy was top 10 in the world golf rankings and has won several times on euro tour. Guy hasn't even turned 30 yet. He's struggling but this thread is ridiculous.

There are a lot of one time major championship winners.

It's unfortunate that his brother brought so much negative press.   Some people will hold those words against him for the rest of his career.

Legend in Japan though.

Micheel wins this debate because he hasn't won anywhere else ever. Willet has won several times in Europe, so while he's not great, at least he had a resume.

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, it's Willett without a doubt.

Guys like Hamilton, Micheel, Immelman, etc. all held the lead on Sunday and had to feel some of that Sunday pressure to keep the lead and not fall apart.  At #10 on Sunday, I think Spieth had a 7 stroke lead and Willett was 3 groups ahead and just able to fire at pins to birdie 13 and 14 - made par on 15, birdied 16, and pared 17 and 18.  He never had to make a real pressure shot, bu I won't discount a 67 on Sunday at Augusta (too much).

Willett backed into that win.

Shooting 67 on Sunday is not backing into a major win. He birdied 3 of the last 6 holes and won.
That's why the tourney is 72 holes long.

Yeah, the song can be awesome, but we're talking about the performer here.

One hit/major does not an awesome musician/golfer make.

I'd gladly accept the mantle of 'greatest one time major winner'.   Better to be a 'has been' than a 'never was'.
