Hi,

Does anybody know whether the Titleist wedge cycle fits into their iron and hybrid release? Is there a SM7 due this year along with the 718's and Hybrids due to release soon

New wedges will be debuted this year during the 2017/2018 season at the Shriners Las Vegas event and the new irons/hybrids will be released end of June at the Quicken Loans TPC Potomac event.

SM7's will have some refined bounces and possibly a new finish offering.  Irons will be the 718 (including a new AP3) and the hybrid should be the 818 (haven't heard anything about the hybrid).

Thanks both.

Very interested in the SM7 particularly if the grinds have changed slightly, I haven't quite got them right for me with the SM6's I currently have.

Any idea if 718 irons will be available for order @ end of June? or just showing up on tour then?

Tour release only.  Usually it's September/October for fitting then ship a few weeks afterwards.

Where do the AP3 sit on the list of irons? Between the AP2 and CB? Thanks

^ I'd like to see them remove the CB designation. Maybe the AP3 are the new CBs?

For the MB I wish they would use just the number without the "MB" designation (I.e. 718) like their blades in the past (680, 670, etc)

The new 718 AP3 will sit between the AP1 and AP2... forgiveness, launch and speed of the AP1 with the classy looks of the AP2.  Rear badging has a bit of look similar to the C10.

Because it makes perfect sense to introduce an AP3 line that fits nicely in between the AP1 and AP2 lines. This is why I am not a marketing person, I'd probably have gone a different direction with this one.

I have the C16 4 iron with my AP1 5-9.  Are you saying the new AP3 will have the offset and performance of the AP1 but looks of the C16?  Sign me up

Talked to a Rep the other day. He said he's been told to "push" the C16's at their demo days this spring. Get people interested in this type of club. He hinted strongly that this type of club will be the new model release.

The SM7 will have enhancements and refinements.  The SM6 was groundbreaking so we won't be blown away by this release... the brushed copper finish (from WW) may be a stock option.

SM6 was ground breaking? Please explain. Hasn't help sales in UK.. Or local store and Pro will happily sell you them for $110 as they have bombed.

Not sure if it's forged it will be on the same line as the AP2, multi-material.  The cavity is rounded and has a similar look to the C10 iron.  My guess is that it's using trickle down tech from the C10 to incorporate into the new line.  It is a cross between the AP1 and the AP2.  Funny how individuals are complaining about messing up the badging sequence of AP1, AP3, AP2, etc...  consumers DON'T CARE what it is called or how the badging is "out of order".  At least half of my members couldn't tell you what model club they use, only that it's Ping or Titleist or Callaway.  :swoon:
