I am new to this forum but I have something to share. Decided to do some research when pxg decided to join keepgolfforreal. I never in a lifetime thought I would have seen the counterfeiters taking a shot at pxg and boy they did. I have seen conclusive evidence regular and darkness and I do hope the counterfeiters go to jail

As you can see the pictures do not have the PXG logo as this will be a copyright infringement. In the conversation with a seller from China he confirmed it was a PXG wedge. These wedges were priced at $220 US dollars head only

Here is an actual photo from a seller that was emailed to me. These iron heads are from a factory in China. Here is everything on the table, you be the judge.

What do you think makes those fake? I'm only asking because I have no idea and there is a possibility that real PXG heads exist in China, and someone is selling them. I am not familiar enough with authentic PXG gear to know a fake from not. I am not sure that it'd get my attention one way or the other if I saw someone selling a new PXG wedge head for $220.

The seller confirm in email they are knock offs. For those who think that counterfeiters are going away need to wake up.

Counterfeiters will always be around.  You need to wake up an realize that will never change.  PXG is not the first company to have counterfeiters, and certainly won't be the last.  China is notorious for ignoring all patent laws and allowing counterfeiters free rein.

Did someone insinuate that counterfeiters were going away? Your posting is bizarre, and mildly comprehensible. Why are you not sharing links to the ad and the seller's name? The proof you are presenting is just more and more pictures of the same thing over and over again with some broken English and Chinese characters thrown in. Educate us here-what makes these fake? How you can tell? Help us learn something from your experience.

Or did you just post this to passively let everyone know how astute you are? If so, you'll fit right in here.

*edit- if I were the seller, regardless of the authenticity, I'd probably tell you whatever you wanted to hear to get you to leave me alone.

What was the point of this post?  Just to let us know China makes fake PXG equipment? Not shocked....

Unfortunately most of these clubs from china are not counterfeits but just over runs. Manufacturers have the heads made in china and order 5000 pieces. They then make 5500 and sell the extra 500 on the Chinese market.  Then there are also the cheap knock offs which are clearly and easily distinguishable.

I know a guy who bought what he said was a fake PXG head from someone in China. After I personally inspected it against my own PXG, it was 100% authentic. They will tell you the head is fake because the penalty is less for a fake rather than telling the truth that the head walked out the back door of the foundry.

I could be wrong, and without looking at the heads in person I can't be 100%, but the pics in this thread look like some backdoor specials.

Guys believe what you want. Why would I post a link? I am not an investigator being paid to research counterfeiters. I found something and shared it. Fakes are what they are, the over run excuse is ridiculous. For those desiring to share links, do your research and share all you want

I do not know what makes these fake?  Is their something obvious other than the one email/communication? Although you are not an investigator, you did say you did some research so any of that knowledge you gained would be helpful.

PXG driver heads and wedge heads have started popping up on sites known for selling counterfeit clubs. I would say the OP is correct in calling these counterfeit

PXG had disclaimer on website only to buy from PXG authorized resellers. They are aware counterfeiters are out there.  Given that a large majority of there components are made in china and finished in the USA...I would not be surprised if these were real and walked out the back door.  They could be fakes as well, with the PXG wedges, the non-milled, its just a traditional wedge with no TPU anyways, they would be easiest to counterfeit.

Not a PXG expert (don't know anything really), but what is the price of a wedge?  At $220 for the "fake" head that puts it nearly $300 for a fake.  What would be the difference in price for real?

$600 range, each.  So, roughly 2k for a set of three wedges.

It's a 12 lb block of metal that gets milled down to a wedge.  If we had high res pictures we could see if these were milled, that'd help a lot in the process of determining out the back door of the foundry or absolute fakes.

These are not the milled wedges.  Retail on the non milled series was about $400/wedge
