Not playing in it this year (I live in WA so the trip is kind of expensive), but our team went down a few years ago and is going back next year.  One of the best high school tournaments around in my opinion. Good luck!

I'm playing in it, Niagara District from Canada. We have played the last 2 years and it is an awesome tournament, and lots of fun times had by everyone involved.

Since the tournament is played at courses all around Myrtle Beach it's hard to say what the greens are going to be like.  I was surprised that all of the courses we played on had Bent greens; I guess I expected there would be a larger number that had poa.

The only recommendations I can make are to spend any free time you have working on team bonding.  We had a great time setting off fireworks at the beach or playing any of the hundreds of minigolf courses.

Bump for finishes.

Our team finished 3rd in our flight and I ended up with a T3 in our flight... should have played waaaay better.

Yes, a high school Tournament. There was Champ, 1, 2, 3, 4. We were in the 3rd flight, but the differences between flights wasn't too much.

The differences in flight are huge, it's easy for someone to say that when you were in the third flight. The higher flights play much better, longer and tougher golf courses than the lower flights so the scores can not be compared on any level. And you qualify for the flights so clearly the better teams are going to be in the better flights.

Oh there is a difference in the teams, but some individuals who are on those Champ flight teams were not really that much better than some individuals in the second, third, and fourth flights. I've played basically all of the courses on the rota, and the second flight played the white tees at Aberdeen on the second which topped out to a whopping 6054 yards. Not too tough considering the third flight played Meadowlands from the blues which are 6600 with lots of doglegs.

All a matter of opinion
