Just game out, sites say 4-6 weeks for delivery so I'm guessing we'll see some reviews in the next few weeks.  Looks like it's an improved S6 and the premium model makes it look better than the standard model but not sure it's worth an extra $100.  $500 is a lot of money for just a golf watch.

Yeah I agree, 500 for a golf watch makes me wonder why not just get an Apple Watch with a golf gps app

It's not really just a golf watch though, it's a multi sport watch so you can use it for running, swimming, biking etc.
Will be compatible with heart rate straps to.

Think of it more of a cheaper Forerunner/Fenix 5 than an expensive golf watch

Looks to me like the s6 with the activity and shot tracking of the s20 added.   However, at that price, I'd expect better battery life.  They have the fenix 5 up to 24 hours in gps mode yet the s60 is still at only 10 hours (which really means only about 27 holes if you are lucky).

10 hours is 27 holes?  Remind me to not play at your course

:-) It really means their specs on battery life are overly optimistic

It will be the same issue as the approach s6. The watch will die on you before you get 2 full rounds in. They say 10hrs buts its more like 6.5hrs max. When we do our big golf trip I always have to bring a usb charger to finish the 2nd 18.

I just ordered a S60, I should have it middle of the week hopefully.  I've been using Golfshot and in the distant past I used a Motorola Actv, Im looking forward to the shot tracking and having the ease of distance on my wrist.

I just hope the S60 works better at showing the hole than my S6 did/does. The thing worked for about the first couple months, they wouldn't ever do anything except say to update it. I have a $400 front, middle, back watch.

I wish they would make an app for the Apple watch series 2... it has native GPS now, so why not make a Garmin app for it... sell it for $XX.XX and move on... I don't care for any of the GPS golf apps that are available on the Apple watch platform, but would much rather wear it than wear my S6...

and if we could get a Garmin or Bushnell app, I wouldn't have to carry my phone to use the Apple watch.  I could just use it and wear it... i have to charge it everynight anyway, so as long as it would last the round (the activity tracker does for the most part if I take it off the charger right before I leave)  it should be perfect, otherwise, I have a $400 dollar front middle back just like the previous poster said.. and that isn't exactly Ideal...

but I do use the shiz out of it...

My S60 came in today. I like the look of this as an everyday watch. I've been using the Vivoactive and this is definitely a step up in looks. The face is a little thick up close but looks great on my wrist.

I'll be taking it out over the weekend for a 36 hole day. Should be able to test out the various features.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from?   Most places I've looked only have the premium version ready to ship.  Or did you get the premium version?

I got the premium version. Not a fan of the silicone band I had on the Vivoactive.

http://puetzgolf.com has them now even though website states different.  Mine just arrived today, I purchased std version as its 120 degrees here and sweating in a leather band is no good.

I thought about it as well - but because I like the idea of the scratch protection of the ceramic bezel, not the band.

I was able to get out this weekend for 36 holes. The battery lasts about 7.5 to 8 hours in golf mode. I was not able finish the second round without charging it for a short period of time. I rarely go out for 36 holes so the battery life is not that big a deal for me. I can always bring a charger and do a quick recharge between rounds.
Overall I really like the watch for what it is. It is a very comfortable everyday watch with some cool golf features.
It will take a little getting used to as there are a lot of features that are not as intuitive to navigate on a small watch screen. I'll need to use this for a few rounds to fully begin to utilize all the features and take advantage of all the information.

I'll be taking mine out tomorrow.  Im right handed so I wear my watches on my left hand which is tough, I have to wear it high so buttons don't get pressed by setting wrists.  I would drought hand, but I can foresee that being a pain using with a left hand glove.

Just got done, battery seems fine...Started with 96% and ended 18 and synced to phone with 71% left, I don't see why you couldn't play 36 on one charge.  Its a nice watch don't get me wrong, but the detail and course layout at least on my course was extremely generic/non-existent.  An app like golfshot does this 100x better.  It did track might shots pretty decently, but for some reason lacked all detail stats (fairways hit, greens hit, etc...). The watch is very nice but I think I will try to return it, for $400 it should do these things spot on.

I also just received the watch. Screen is pretty large, but lighter than expected.

I've been having issues with syncing to my Garmin App.  Backlight issues and settings being transferred between phone and watch.  Contacted Garmin about it, just waiting for a response.

I played 1 - 3.5 hour round and the battery went from 100% t0 58% @ 50% brightness.  Not great, but coming from an S20, its an expected change.

Detail stats can be enabled by going to the golf score card, hitting center button, going to golf settings, scoring etc.  I had a hard time finding them, but eventually found them using the online manual.

My biggest gripe is the map seems unnecessarily small when trying to touch a point to measure the distance.  It was also a little laggy.  Attached are a few pictures of what I mean.

All in all, I'm happy with it.  Hopefully the bugs get worked out quickly.

For the short time my S6 worked, the hole showing up on the screen, I always used a tee to pinpoint a location I wanted a distance to. Using my finger was never close to precise enough to get it in the correct place.

Try using the point of a tee or pencil - that's what I had to do with my s3.

I tried a tee today with no luck. Doesn't recognize the tee as a touch.

I thought about taking a stylus, but that seems like a huge hassle.

Might be a deal breaker for me as i didnt use it at all this round. It takes me a good minute to zoom in and out enough to get the marker where it needs to be. Basically my only solution is to use my avg drive indicator line as a reference to the trap distance.

I tried a tee today with no luck. Doesn't recognize the tee as a touch.

Good to know.   I havent' had a chance to try anything with the s60 yet.   But then, probably not going to be an issue for me.  I'll use a laser for hazard / bunker and even dog leg distances.   I'm more interested in the many of the other features.  The full screen shots of the hole is a bonus at best.

Sorry, can you be more specific about the issues you are having with the backlighting?    Have you tried to update the software yet?
