I walked my first full round in the past ~10 years yesterday.  I had a great time, but it pointed out to me the limitations of my footwear. I picked up a pair of FootJoy last season (not my first pair).  I was impressed with my previous pairs (never had to swap out insoles), but this pair hasn't been particularly comfortable.  Even with a good pair of gel inserts, they were barely cutting it to ride 18.

I tend to prefer traditional styles (my last two pairs have had white leather uppers), but at this point...I don't care about style. I've always had soft spikes, but I would entertain spike-less.  My sole focus is comfort.

The catch is that they must be available in 13W and they must actually be wide.  That might sound like a ridiculous requirement, but I think that anyone else with wide feet can relate (I've had to return multiple pairs of shoes over the years because they weren't wide enough).  Price is not an object (I'm willing to spend $200+ if that's what it takes).

What would you get for footwear to walk 18 holes?  Thanks in advance.

The most comfortable shoes I've ever owned for walking are True Linkswear.  They were spike-less and certainly not traditional.  However, they make some traditional models with spikes now.  True Classix

Try the new Callaway LaJolla.  It has semi-traditional styling, available in 13 wide, and very comfortable.  Only $99.95 also!

Cool. I'll check those out.  I'll have to see if either of those options are available locally. I've ordered several pairs of shoes online recently and not had much luck.

I don't know about the availability of (W) sizes but the UA Spieth 1's are the best thing I've ever put on my feet. They are pricey though.

I saw these recently at a local Ross or BCF for either 19.99 or 24.99, in 13 wide as well. If you're interested I can have a look for you, but to be honest they didn't look all that wide. Nike Air Zoom Attack.

Footjoy freestyle hands down... the insole is very thick especially in the heel.

My Footjoy Pro SLs are my favorite shoes to walk in. Good traction, but they feel the a pair of regular shoes. I typically wear a 12, but these (like all Footjoy) are perfect for me in an 11.5w.

I've heard good things about Ecco. The issue there is that I've yet to find a pair in other than a medium width.

Edit: Looks like that's a no for 'Wide' on Ecco shoes.

Ecco biom hybrid 2. Those are fairly roomy to begin with. Plus it's European sizing so they come as 13-13.5. I'd advise at least finding a pair to try. I wear 13 and have a moderately wide foot and they fit well.

Walked 18 in BOA DNA's, not bad. The FJ SL is next on my buy list though. I have a big foot 13 but, not wide enough for wide shoes. That being said, Nike and Under Armour shoes look stupid when I tried them on, pretty narrow. Had pancake foot. Unfortunate because I love the looks on them. Heard nothing but good from FJ SL users.

We walk every weekend, I'm a size 13 too.  Adidas Boost shoes have been the best for me.  Those are the only shoes that by the end of the round I wasn't dying to take them off.

Has anyone ordered FootJoy shoes via MyJoys?  My feet are a perfect candidate for this.  My left foot is wider than my right (it's the reason I need extra wide shoes).  Looking on their website, you can order a pair of shoes with two different sizes.  ex. 13 EW for the left...and 13W for the right.  That is just f*****g brilliant.

That could solve my dress shoe dilemma too.  I've tried on multiple pairs of 13W dress shoes that my right fits into just fine, but I can't even get my left foot into. Yeah...I know.

I have FJ BOA Contours in 12W and 13W. I usually ride, but when I have walked in them, I have found them to be really comfortable.

I have ordered several pair of Myjoys.  Left foot 11 1/2 and right foot 12, both W.  It is really nice having shoes that fit each foot, as opposed to having one a bit big or one pinching my big toe.  Well worth it for those of us with non-semetrical feet.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.  I ordered a par of the Professional Shield Tip Spikeless.  I need new dress shoes too (I can't find anything that fits right), so I ordered these in jet black. 13XW left and 13W right.

They did not have an expedited shipping option though, so 4-6 weeks it is.  I commented on that on the questionnaire that popped up (why no express delivery option?). If I'm happy with these, I'll get two more pairs. One more for work (brown dress shoes) and one to game with.

I'll second True Linkswear, I'm an 11 but have very wide feet and it's damn near impossible to find comfortable shoes, the forefoot on the Classix is incredibly wide... one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

I couldn't find anywhere near me that had wide Eccos.  I couldn't find anywhere online that had wide either. Is that special order only? I'm not opposed to ordering a pair of those too, if I can find wide.

Edit: Fit wise though...where I have freak show feet...I don't see a pair of these working out for me.  Assuming a pair is wide enough to fit my left foot, my right is going to be a bit loose.

I'm 99% sure Ecco does not have a wide option they just tend to run on the wide side. I've had a few Ecco golf shoes and dress shoes and it's been hit or miss for me.

If I can find a pair to try out...I'll definitely do it.  I can see your statement applying to my right foot, but I doubt very much that a 13 that just "runs a little wide" is going to work for my left foot.
