When i go to the muny courses that i might think club snatchers are lurking at, i put on a mix of RAM, Tommy armour and Mac burrows, old old callaway (original big bertha), Knight, etc etc.  headcovers that i got off of e-bay  you may want to try that.. and of course never ever leave your bag out of your sight or within hands reach for any amount of time..

I still use my Jan Craigs which are 15-20 years old, they have held up very well. With the increase in club size I use the driver cover as a 3 wood now and have added a Tiger head cover which has a 85th pga championship seal on it. I would like to replace it w/ another tiger head cover from one of the major championships. I can't say enough about the Jan Craig covers, yes they are a little pricey, but as you can see they last. I would pick a netrual base color so when you change bags they will look great.

I just ordered a set of Rocket Tour headcovers for my driver, 3-wood and hybrid.  I am not a big fan of the animal headcovers, but to each his own.

I have a Ping G10 and had a G5 before that.  The head cover that comes with these offers no shaft protection.  I picked up a Cleveland Launcher head cover off Ebay.  It protects the shaft and confuses the competition.

I usually play with what comes with the club...and since the Nickent Square is so big it can only be covered with what it comes with, or a shoe-box...I choose the brand cover.  When I get the Nickent Supermag I think I am going to try to find a lobster or something else really funny.  I hate the Pom Pom look.

I use the OEM covers, but after reading some posts I do believe that it's a magnet to get stolen... but could you imagine what I'd do to a guy stealing my sticks.... wow

I am infamous for winning these animal covers in scrambles..... I've gotten just in the last year, a pig, a cow, a bear, a tiger (of course), and my all time favorite a Serta Sheep cover... I would use them but they seem to fall off....

That serta sheep is a killer though plus it's got my football # 44 on it, so that's a plus......

Jan Craig Pom Poms - 8 inch pom on the driver and 8 inch pom on the 3 wood.

Picked up new ones this year to match my new bag - my last set lasted me for a few years and they held up real nice  - can't say enough good things about them.

Pom POM and tassels for me.  The EOM stuff would work great but I don't like to advertise the content of my bag to all the freaking club snatchers that seem to be omni present at most courses in South Florida.
Me too! I use a South Carolina Gamecock for my driver and a JC pom for my 3 wood.Advertize that $400 driver too much and it will end up getting swiped.Had it happen to me and it was literally "in the blink of an eye".That said, I do carry a big staff bag so Im not really the sharpest tool in the shed.

I use, for the most part, what comes with the clubs (OEM). With the driver, when I'm playing a round of golf, I put away the TM burner driver headcover on a side pocket and use an Acuity headcover because the freakin' TM OEM driver headcover is so tight and difficult to put back on, I wouldn't be able to take the aggravation of trying to put it back on after teeing off on a hole.
I have some "cheap" animal heads headcovers (b/w panda bear, orange stripe tiger), a black NIKE headcover for woods, but really just have them all as "emergency" purpose only.
My main thing with a headcover is that not only should it protect the club's head, but also have a sock portion to protect the shafts from rubbing inside the bag's dividers. Thus, the Daphne's animal headcovers is a "no-no".
Regarding "un-desireables" being "attracted" to a bag w/OEM headcovers, I agree. I do my best in keeping my bag as close to me as possible. When not in use, I entirely cover the golf bag's top w/an Acuity micro-fiber player towel with Velcro closure on the side end to keep everything out of sight.

I use the ones my wife knitted for me.  Custom, cheap (free of course), inconspicuous, and I love the way they look.

Currently doing the honours are my old faithful Daphne's Great Dane (sort of a canine version of Marvin the Paranoid Android with his hangdog expression) and one of several old Ping covers. Red is the current colour of chioice, but there are all sorts of hues in the stash of a dozen or so.

Note to Daphnes: Please make a GSD headcover that looks like a GSD rather than the illegitimate child of a rat and a hedgehog.

One of several SC covers graces the putter. An old Pro Platinum is on there at present.

Unique and different and especially custom is always best.  Plus I agree with the club snatcher comments, OEM can be risky if you're at the muni's.

I have a Fresno State Bulldog for my driver and superman for my 3 wood.  The hybrid is an OEM.  Scotty Cameron special edition covers the putter.  I also cover my irons.  Hate the clanking.  Overall, I think headcoves are cool because it shows some of your style and personality.

1.  Name Brand OEM Headcovers advertising your loyalty and presumably the model year of the clubs,
2.  Pom Pom Headcovers which never go out of style
3.  Stuffed Animal/Character cover which presumably communicates "something"

Holy loaded question, Batman!  Just from your question, we can easily tell that you prefer pom-poms.  If you want to phrase a question, don't add your opinions to the answers...just ask what people prefer: 1. OEM. 2. Pom-Pom.  3. Stuffed Animal/Character, etc.

I just recently joined the ranks of the cartoon/stuffed animal ones, having picked up a Winning Edge Sherman headcover. Prior to that, it was always teh OEM covers.
