I bought a cart because rental carts are generally garbage.

$14 for a push cart rental is ridiculous.

question - for those of you buying the push cart, is it that your course doesn't offer cart rentals or you play a LOT of rounds so the rental fee isn't worth it?

I'm on the fence but feel like paying $6 a round to rent is better than the hassle of storing and schlepping the cart. Let me know where I'm wrong. I'm also a weekend golfer in the Northeast so season is like May to Sept haha

There is a par 3 right by my house. It's kind of spread out and a pain to walk if you are carrying, so I just  never play there.
I picked up a cart primarily for that reason. I don't think I would use other than that. But I might start enjoying walkeing and use it more often

Cart fees at my course are $14 for a push cart, $20 to ride (18 holes). I have walked close to 100 rounds with mine (many of those being 9 hole rounds after work) in the last year so it has paid for itself several times. It's also much nicer than the rentals and despite my heavy use, is still as good as new with no durability issues.

As far as "storing and schlepping" it folds up/down in 2 seconds and fits easily in my trunk. I'm in CO so similar length golf season to yours in the NE.

$14 to push and $20 to ride? I can tell what bills they want your money to pay off.

Almost every course I've ever played considers a push cart to be walking. No extra charges.
I assume he meant to rent a push cart was $14.  Since the poster has his own, he doesn't pay anything above the green fee.

I normally carry. it seems easier for me to walk and carry than walk and push a cart - especially on hilly courses. When it's very hot - or when it's going to rain/shower, I like the push cart as the bag gets really heavy with all the extras (extra water/gatordade/umbrella/rain gear) I bring on those days. courses around me charge enough that even if you're playing only may-sept you should be good for a few seasons with the cart...paying for itself - not to mention how much nicer a 3/4 wheel cart is than the typical 2 wheel carts with no umbrella holder, drink holder etc.....

I have a cg 3.0 and bought because I love to walk, prefer it to riding...95% of my rds. Are walking and it was the best move I ever made....so much easier than carrying, it's not even close....re them being a hassle to bring with, pack, store, etc.  It's a non issue, unfold and two levers then load bag and secure straps, less than 30 secs, and to store, undo two levers, fold and click into place.....if that is really a concern, it will take more time and effort to get the rental and bring it to your car and load your clubs or lug your bag up to the clubhouse and then load vs. doing it at your car with your own push cart and then checking in.

Correct, those are rental fees. You don't pay extra if you walk and carry your bag or bring your own push cart.

Quite encouraging to see a product where the overwhelming majority agree it's a winner for it's price point. One question while I wait for mine to be delivered...

Is the position of the top strap somewhat forgiving? My cart bag (Bennington quiet organizer 14 light) has cart strap mechanism that allows the cart strap to go under the pockets as to not restrict access. It's a tall bag and I'm hoping the top strap will align under this mechanism like a power cart strap would.

Is there some leeway/manuverability/flexibility with the top strap?

What color did you guys go with? I was debating between the gray and the silver. When I purchased they only had lime and silver in the stock, making the decision easy.

I went with Gray (which is basically all black and I don't know why they didn't just call it Black but whatever). Didn't want Silver or Lime Green wheels.

Yeah, ordered Friday night, they got the tracking info to UPS Monday 6/5, wasn't picked up until late evening Tuesday 6/6. Probably won't be delivered to me in IL until Monday 6/12. No amazon prime style shipping from Costco I guess. No biggie, lot of golfing left.

Mine came yesterday(I live in Ca.). When I opened the box I saw there was "some assembly required". Thankfully, it was a simple matter of mounting the wheels, and no tools require. Whew. I was having flashbacks of assembling a treadmill a few months ago. Seems like a nice cart. Bigger than I thought it would be, but folds up to a manageable size.

A couple EZ fold suggestions for those, like me , who don't read instructions first. The brake is a light push down AND the release is quick push to release. I went through a brake in 8 holes by putting my toe under and pulling up to release. Second, when you collapse the unit the handle with the umbrella nob, you will understand when folded, gets pushed inside the  "tire" on one side, works just fine to carry it without opening on you.

Got it all together last night. It's a beast when it's all unfolded, but it's a damn nice cart. Surprisingly light too. Folds up compact. I'm excited to get some rounds on it.

Foot brake is pretty akward tho.
