Hello, I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on budget friendly golf trips in the south east? I currently live in Florida so I was thinking other than Florida. I have looked at crossville which seems like a good option

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Bama is a great low cost golf tour in the south. Have done this with the wife a few times.

I second this. Every year in April, we take 18-24 people to Prattville (Capitol Hill) and play 3 rounds of golf and stay 4 nights for like $380 total. We'll play all 3 of the courses on the site and then sometimes play another round for like $40-$50 at the Judge as well. Hard to beat.

I dont wanna be that guy but, florida resident rates during the summer at Streamsong are amazing! They offer a great stay and play. If not, we loved Myrtle for a budget trip. We used Coastal Golfaway to book it and we played Caledonia, True Blue, World Tour, Arrowhead, 2 courses at Legends resort, Man O War, Kings North, and The Wizard plus a 4 night stay for $760. 9 rounds and 4 nights is the best deal ive ever seen.

RTJ and Myrtle are your walmart/domestic beer options for South Eastern Golf.

would play the judge at rtj prattvile, but definitely include the site at auburn ... will be going to streamsong for the 2nd time in two summers and as stated, the rates are very, very good ... it's hot, but everywhere in the southeast is hot during july/august ... you could check out midpines/southern pines near pinehurst in nc, also ...

As mentioned the RTJ Trail is great on a beer budget. If you're driving from FL you could stop and play Highland Oaks just over the border then head north and stay at the Marriott Capitol Hill Club and play The Judge and The Legislator. Then you can either go east an hour and play Grand National in Opelika or go north an hour and play Ross Bridge in Hoover.

I'd recommend Knoxville instead of Crossville.  Set up in West Knoxville, you got 6 very nice courses within 35 minutes, all but one under $50 with a cart.

I don't know if if can be much cheaper than crossville. It mainly just depends on what type of courses/conditions and scenery you are looking for.

Look into the courses in Biloxi, MS. Plenty of good options.

RTJ is solid.  You could also incorporate the Gulf Shores area in Alabama if you want some beach time.  Peninsula, Rock Creek, and Kiva Dunes are solid.

I would also add the RTJ at Point Clear, Lost Key and the jewel of the Redneck Riviera is Steelwood CC in Loxley (if you can get on).

It also totally depends on if you want to walk or ride in carts. The choices for walking are much fewer.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

1. Myrtle Beach for the prices and the amount of courses you can choose from (very low quality to very high quality all in MB).
2. RTJ Trail for the prices and the quality of the courses.  My only gripe is that the RTJ design style can get boring so many of the courses feel the same (with the exception being The Judge).
3. The Pinehurst Village but not necessarily the Pinehurst resort.  There are a ton of nice options in that area.
4.St. Simons Island is great if you're older and not necessarily looking for a nightlife but you do want great food options.

RTJ trail might be beer budget but you're getting a nice craft beer for Bud prices.

Boys trip, or, females coming along?  I think that would determine where to go.  Are you looking at strictly golf, golf and nightlife, golf and shopping,...
