My best ever round was Torrey Pines South from the Tips, about 7200 yards - shot an 80 with a stupid quad on #7.

Went out again 2 weeks later expecting to go beastmode and ended up with...94.  Wind was waaay up and I was just not hitting the ball well, was quite the bummer.

In January I went 74 at Wickenburg Ranch and shot 89 the next morning at Southern Dunes.  The 89 was especially impressive as I went 52-37.  I flat lost it for the first 8 holes.  I took 8 6's in a row to start the round.  4 Doubles, 2 Bogies, 2 Triples.  The final 10 holes consisted of 2 birdies, 1 bogey, 1 double and 6 pars.

That's golf for ya.

In early March played Saturday morning shot 83.  Went out Sunday morning feeling pretty good about where my game was heading and shot 108.  I know part of the problem was after the 49 on the front 9 I was just pissed and lost all focus.  It appears it was a on time thing so that's a plus.

I shot 127 and a week later 79 on the same course. Same conditions: temp/wind

Sad thing is I practiced for months to play this course. After the 127 I was so disgusted I didn't touch my clubs until the day I shot 79.

This game just doesn't make sense to me.

Did something similar a long time ago in a county amateur. Nerves...
I'm not suggesting we kill all the stupid people, I'm just suggesting we remove all the warning labels and let the situation resolve itself.

Played Old Corkscrew in Florida last week with borrowed clubs and shot 92. Came home and played Butter Brook in Massachusetts and shot 78 with an 8 on one hole.Similar length courses, just poorly fit vs well fit clubs.
