I may have to go back to my m2 to really get a good feel for that this shaft can consistently do. Unfortunately Iíve been quite inconsistent with it and the g400lst. New head came in after I cracked the previous head and I just canít seem to get comfortable with the combo. I sold my KKDC tx to my cousin and just have a Fuji pro 72 non tour spec in my m2 as a back up and itís much more consistent for me dispersion wise. I may just put a TM tip on the synergy and give it a try with my 2017 m2 Head 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m playing the Yellow and I totally agree with what the test results were showing, I purchased the Yellow thinking it would lower my spin based off what the PX website was stating, I wish I would’ve read this thread beforehand but at least now I know what I should be looking for going forward.

And that's why we included it. Because it's a readily available option for most people to hit, it provides a good basis for comparison. As you've said though, it's not a particularly low spin product.

Well at least it was a cheap experiment, great feeling shaft though.

I agree. If they could make performance of the black with feel of the yellow, it would be a winner. I guess that's what really makes Mitsubishi's Tensei Pro line stand out.

Toll, can I assume the Yellow was the 75 6.5 and was there any tipping? I’m still wanting to fit into this shaft based on the feel, at 105-107 SS and medium/smooth tempo do you think I could handle a 75 6.5? I’ve got no where to demo anything around where I live.

Thanks all. Looking at picking up a ST180 and putting an orange in it. The one thing Iíve noticed with almost every review online are the ball speeds were a little lower, so that thought was go with the Pro Orange and then add weight back to the head to try and get the ball speed up.

That's correct. That's the beauty of counterbance. You add headweight which should make you gain ball speed slightly.

Thanks. Curious if you can go too far with this.  I like to play drivers at 45Ē and D6 or D7. To get a counter balanced setup I would have to build it to D9ish, and then the Pro Orange would bring it down 3 SWs. Any cause for concern?

You'd just want to tip it slightly more than what you would for a more typical d2ish type swingweight.

I found M1 460 to be the best head for that shaft, for me. It just seems to work well with the Taylormade stuff.

Quick question for anyone ITT who used a Tensei Pro White.  I currently have the TPO 70TX in my 9* Epic set to 8* playing at 44.5 untipped.  I finally got on an LM after having some issues with it my last couple rounds.  I seem to be launching it at ~18.5*, 2700RPM and when I miss it tends to leak to the right.  Any recommendations for a shaft that will launch and spin a bit lower and reduce that right miss?  (Realistically that is probably more my fault than the shaft)

Edit: Really good info in here with all data, really appreciate the work you put in Tollbros!

I've read the beginning posts and jumped around a bit.  While I have seen one of the tester have a similar SS to me, he had a moderate tempo while mine is more on the aggressive side with a late release.

Posted this in one of the other topics but there are so many that I thought Iíd add here.

ďWell Iím glad I didnít give up on the synergy black. I just couldnít get it to work with the g400lst. I traded that head for an m3 and figured if I couldnít get the new m3 or my previous 2017m2 head to work with it then I would unload it. But the m3 pairing is absurdly good for me after 2 range sessions and then course testing today. I melted it and have dialed in the setting yesterday at the range and then unleashed it in the course today and itís stupid good.Ē

Synergy Black or Kuro Kàge XD would be where I would start.

Thanks, I will look into more info on those!
i'll be posting a long thorough review after i have mine for a few more rounds - also looking to get onto a monitor if i can to get some real data for you fellas

I'm very interested to see your results Gio.
i'll be on course *hopefully* tomorrow, definitely Friday. i'll hit the sim one day this weekend to get numbers. i played in leagues last night and hit driver just twice, one was gps'd 323, the other 298 into the wind. (both drives were total yards)

I have a kkdc XD 70TX tipped one inch, I want to pick up a pro orange and compare them, would anyone recommend tipping the same? I know it’s tip heavy but just wanted to hear some opinions

If you're asking about shaft, it all depends on what your data says. Your current set up could be ideal or miles off. Without data we just don't know.

For purposes of this thread, is the Copperhead the same as the Aldila Xtorsion Copper? I picked one up during an eBay deal and this thing is pretty solid. Not getting ideal numbers but I think it's more me than the shaft (hitting too up, striking club face a bit low.) This thing just wants to go straight as an arrow.

What's weird is that it feels low spin but my launch monitor numbers say otherwise. Feels very stable, one piece... I'm liking it. My swing has changed a bit over the past year and I used to love really active shafts, but now I tend to really over draw those. Might be time to step up to X flex, I got the Xtorsion up to 107-110, but it feels plenty stable in stiff.

If yours is a Stiff flex then it is a completely different shaft than the TX tested in this thread.

On the website, the only version avail in TX is 70TX, and this is a 60 and yes it's a stiff. Is it different other than weight and stiffness? Is it actually made of different materials, etc? I think I noticed a few 60TX shown on the website but I also know there was a "green" and "black" version that I don't see on the Aldila website, just like there is no Synergy Black shown.

I don't get caught up in what's what, I play what works. I was just noting how relative to other shafts labeled "mid spin" like they do on their website, this felt very low spin.

That is correct. Not the same shaft profile as tested here.

What's different? I assume more tip stiff..? Kind of like Tensei reg vs Tensei pro? Probably not for me although oddly enough, I'm swinging this Copper 60 much faster than any other shaft I have right now... as much as 10mph faster than my old Matrix Red Tie.

Check this thread out. Also Copperhead is counterbanced so picking up some speed is common.

Thanks very much. Is 60TX in this shaft significantly more stiff than the S? I know in some shafts I can easily swing TX and others I feel as if a S is pushing my swing. I'm still at the stage where I'm right on the edge of S and X in most cases.

Toll - is Synergy Black counterbalanced? I just noticed my Synergy Black 60TX and Pro Orange 60TX (cut to same length and both tipped 1/2") swingweight almost the exact same.

A little bit. It will swingweight about 1 1/2 points lighter than say a Kuro Kŗge XD.

It is still what I would call a very smooth shaft even in TX. Just a bit stiffer tip, higher grade carbon, and less torque, but in no way harsh.
