Would love to know thoughts on pro vs new pro soft......my driver SS is between 105-110, and prefer a softer feel. I'm hearing that the pro soft claim of being for slower SS is not valid.

From listening to the R&D of Titleist on a radio show, he pretty much stated there is no reason or correlation to use a softer ball, low compression, etc for any swing speed, unless you just like the fell and sound.  He basically stated that their top prov1 ball is made for all golfers and all swing speeds, as all will be able to compress the ball and get the same distance across ball lines.  The only difference in their line is the cost to mfg and thus price points, mostly due to the outer layer of the ball.  Their top of the line ball gives the most control due to spin if that is what a player is looking for.  It really makes you wonder how much of all of the ball ads are just that, advertising with no merit.  The only difference being sound, feel, and spin on short irons, ha....

Regarding Vice, I purchased 6 dozen of the yellow balls.  I think I have 3 or 4 dozen if anyone in the STL MO area are interested in them.

Has any of the higher swinger speed players who have played these notice any distance loss with irons?  I felt like they were almost a club shorter. Idk. Maybe it's just me

Used a Vice Pro Plus for first time this week. Shot 72. Long off the tee, great control in the wind and sits down on short shots better than new Z-star and V1 models. Marvellous.

Yes,  it absolutely is something where he will get 10% worth of credit to vice every time his code is used.  That is why he was asked to not post it online.  Being honest and upfront is always the best policy.  That's why you were upset when the other guy posted his code.

Lol NO, wrong, incorrect... Please do not come on here and call me a liar, that's poor form.

For one, you don't have the context as it ISN'T EVEN MY CODE and I benefit in NO WAY WHATSOEVER from anyone on here using said code.  The person who provided the code to me asked to please NOT post freely on the internet as it's against COMPANY policy.  I choose to respect people who do nice things for me, and I'd feel terrible if SHE got in trouble for some dude crashing this thread.  Seems like that's lost on people these days, but please, cloud the waters of this thread with more of your bad a** DEA demeanor.  You got me, bro, El Chapo will atone for his sins and the people will celebrate in the streets with final countdown blaring in the background.

Also, if the 10% number is accurate, it's minuscule and a joke you feel the need to come in hot and heavy.  Clearly I'm ballin over here with this 10% of vice credit that I'm NOT getting on sales of ALREADY DISCOUNTED GOLF BALLS.  Man, I'm selfish.

Thank you and goodnight.

Looking for comparisons on the Vice balls to the '17 Prov1 and v1x if anyone has them??

Joint the page Golf Nutters on FB.  Someone just posted a very good review comparing the pro v1, b330s and the vice pro with the driver, wedge and putter.  The guy was a prov1 player for a while and said he liked the vice just as good.  I had a buddy give me one last week and while I will freely admit that I am not a great golfer I do have a faster swing speed and loved the way the ball felt off the club

Haha bro, you implied that I was personally benefiting from this.  "Honesty is the best policy"....I don't care who is getting what, you were pointing fingers and calling me a liar.

And since honesty is the word of the day, I honestly laughed at how much you over rotate in your avatar lol.  But that's just a newbie to a veteran.

Thanks,  that was a photo from 2001. It was taken during my time on the All Army Golf Team.  This was on the 9th hole during the final round.  I shot 66 that day.  I'm much fatter now,  so the over rotation is gone.  I sure do miss that flexibility though. That was before the injury that occurred about 6 months later.

Very interested in hearing more about pro soft vs TPX as I have a similar swing speed and play the TPX currently.

Don't worry about it. My driver SS is also 105-110 depending on weather. I played some Pro Soft today (first time I have played any Vice) and it was every bit as long as my normal TaylorMade TPX. It MIGHT have been even a touch longer on quality driver strikes. Every other club in the bag played to the distances I am used to.

Very interested in hearing more about pro soft vs TPX as I have a similar swing speed and play the TPX currently.

Got out for awhile today playing the Snell MTB and Vice Pro Soft. Like I said, I am coming from the TPX, and want one of these two to be my ball.

Distance wise, they are both right there with the TPX, honestly maybe a little longer, but I haven't played a TPX in a couple of weeks so it's hard to tell if I am just getting into that summer groove. I was sitting between 285-300 on every drive today.

Irons - I think both of these feel better than the TPX, with no noticeable difference in performance between the 3. The Snell MTB gets an edge for feel on every single club

Short approaches - I played a new course today with a lot of really screwed up pin positions. I mean, multiple holes with the pin just 4 feet into the front of the green. So, even though I would only have like 50-70 yards on these approaches, I couldn't do anything other than hit it short and try to run it up. I am not *really good at spinning the ball close anyway, but I feel like the Snell has a little extra greenside spin than the Pro Soft.

Putter - The Pro Soft is definitely softer than the TPX, but feel off the putter has never really mattered to me one way or another.

Durability - I have played 36 holes with the same red/pink Pro Soft and it looks brand new. Obviously, I haven't pounded it into any trees or cart paths.

I'd say give the Pro Soft a real shot if you are looking at moving away from the TPX. I think I am going to be stocking up on the Snell MTB, but will end up ordering the 5 dozen deal of Pro Softs as well. The matte red/pink is really growing on me.

I have played the ProV1x for several years. I get good roll out on drives and better spin around the greens than with the ProV1. I was recently given a Vice Pro Soft. I know, it is the equivalent of the ProV1, not the X. I played 9 holes with it a couple of days ago with my regular group. I've never played or seen any Vice ball before I tried this one. I discoverer three things: 1) the ball seemed longer by a few yards off the tee than the 2015 model ProV1x I've been using, 2) on approach shots, the Vice ball seemed to spin less, and 3) it had d a bit less spin around the green than the ProV1x. I was surprised by the distance gain and I think I could adjust to the lower amount of perceived spin. For the price difference, I think it represents a tremendous value for the money. I will probably order a few dozen. However, I would like to try the Vice model comparable to the x. For the record, i am an older golfer with a driver speed around 92 mph. The golf ball was given to me by a very good young golfer whose swing speed is much higher than mine.

I only noticed the colored balls were sold out. I had no issues when I purchased them.

Just checked, the pro and pro plus are available in white right now.
