I am looking for a golf ball that has low spin on the driver, but still performs well on the greens. I am ballooning my driver every once in a while and am looking to cut that out. Any suggestions appreciated.

Most of the better high end balls fit that description: ProV1x, B330s, Srixon Z-URC, Taylor Made TP Black or Red, the New Callaways...about all of them.

I think my driver is fine I think it is the e5+, A two-piece urethane construction is designed to maximize the tangential force of the clubface to generate spin for high launch and carry. What do you think?

Doesn't the B330s spin more than the B330?

Try the new 2008 Nike ONE Black, low spin off driver, but still great spin around the green.  Stewart Cink switched to this and clearly is playing well.  Today with 30 MPH winds at the PODS, he still shot a -2 and is leading going into Sunday.

Nike One Black is a great ball.  The Nike Ignite is another good "low driver spin" ball.  Not as much performance around the greens, but it is HALF as much as the One Black.....well almost.  And it still has a good amount of greenside spin.
Nike Covert Tour 2.0 - Velox
Nike T60 3w & 5w - Aldila NV
Nike Covert 2.0 or CPR 3 HY
Nike NDS/Pro Combo Split Set
Nike VR 52* & 56*
Nike T130

My recommendation is to try the NOB '08. Low side spin off the driver and has good enough spin around the greens. This ball is greatly improved and PT layer really is maing this ball much longer.

Funny how you put the TM ball in there before Nike One Black? or the HX TOur balls? Either way any High End Distance ball will reduce spin off the Tee...

Cink said in Golf Digest:  I am longer than guys who used to be longer than me with this new ball and driver. I am hitting by guys I was not able to before...

I think the ball is awesome and has become a ball that is more playable than last years ball.  This ball is the longest ball for players between 90-100mph. and top 2 distance ball at any swing speed.

I believe the B330s spins slightly less than the B330 off of a driver, but more off of a wedge.

It really doesn't matter, all spin more around the green than e5 or e6.

I've just started using the B330 and really like it.  I've picked up a little distance with the driver.  I've played nothing but Titleist since college.  The B330s spins a lot around the greens and like you said, off a wedge.  So I just assumed that it would have a higher spin rate off the driver, so I never really tested it out.  Guess I really need to get on a launch monitor to test them out.  I also just got some Nike One Blacks for free and plan to test them also.

If you want to reduce Driver spin and lower your trajectory try the Bridgestone E6+.  Also, you should consider getting your backspin numbers checked on a LM and be willing to reshaft.  Reshafting will most likely give you the best results.

I play B330s and B330 and the B330s goes higher on the course and spins more off the driver on a LM ( for me anyway )

You might want to go to the USGA site http://www.usga.org/...g_golf_ball.asp and download this PDF.  It indicates ball construction and spin rating.  You should look for a double cover ball (2c) with a solid center(SC).  The three piece balls are probably a little more expensive(3P) but considered the premium balls.  In addition, this chart provides a spin rating for each ball, 1. off the tee, and 2. when stuck with a short iron.  Look for "L" for low off the driver, then whatever you wish for your short iron shot.  I believe you will find this information quite helpful.

Not a lot of L-H choices are there?

I'm surprised my ball (ProV1x) was M-H.  I thought it was supposed to be a low spinning driver ball....

Thanks for the link...
