Interesting - what's the point in being sponsored by Cobra when you only have to play 2 clubs?

Not 100 percent sure but I believe it's a clothing/bag deal. I did notice him hitting the Baffler on TV last week, which was pretty neat and made me think of Cobra, but the clubs in the bag are far less important than what's on the bag and body as the representation or first impression seems to be more and more what manufacturers are after.

Ya know what really grinds my gears? Guys who are slinging a club brand on there bag, but won't put that club brand in there bag! So you will take money to put a name on your bag that is telling me I should go get a brand of club yet you don't play them yourself? Shame on you Jonas Blixt! This is the definition of hypocrisy!

I think Cobra/Puma is more interested in the Puma clothing deal than the club deal, not sure why really. The only "complete" staffs are Rickie, Bryson, Lexi (I'm not even sure what Cobra irons she plays) and Carly Booth, she's all Puma/Cobra now after Nike.

I think the Cobra King Pro CB/MB combo can hold their own against MP25/5 combo....just my opinion

Interesting.  Plays a AD-DI 7X in the driver, but has 6x untipped in the 3W.  Then turns around and has an 8X tipped 1.5" in the 4/5W.  Not sure what the thought process is but maybe that's the key to tour level golf and we've been wrong all along.

:cheesy: Those guys who work the Taylormade van are really slackin.... putting M1 covers on M2's and now can't even get the correct company’s headcover on a driver... I mean if I worked in the van I could at least do that.... geez... :cheesy:

Hey all: I'm also suprized he has so few Cobra clubs in the bag. Could be his deal with Cobra/Puma is up at years end and he's just trying out other stuff or as one post says his deal maybe for bag/clothing only. P.S. If the latter is true then why not carry/use a Puma bag.

This is one of the most ignorant posts I've seen in quite a while.

The purpose of a professional golfers bag (aside from holding clubs) is not to politely let you know what clubs are in the bag.  It's a billboard, which companies can purchase advertising space on... much like the player's shirts and hats.  All of the increased television coverage have allowed this to become a lucrative area for tour players... and one they should capitalize on, as long as there are companies willing to pay for the ad space.

Are you going to criticize Tiger Woods for drinking water, even though he has "Monster Energy Drinks" on his golf bag?

This is the most ignorant reply I have ever heard! Do you know the definition of the word "endorsement?" You're probably to young and to dumb to remember a word called "integrity."You're also probably a salesman. Your attempt to use a false comparison to prove your point is an illustration of your mental incompetence.  Asking if I fault Tiger Woods for drinking water while he advertises Monster Energy drinks on his bag is incongruous with my statement. As human beings we all drink water it is essential to our survival. so of course Tiger drinks water. I'll correct your error for you now. A truer comparison to the Jonas Blixt situation would be to say,"Would you hold it against Tiger if it came out that when Tiger wants an energy drink he only drinks Red Bull, and as a matter of fact he carries 12 of them in his bag?' To which the answer would be "HELL YES!!!"  Only a salesman would think that a personal piece of property, like a golf bag, is "advertising space. DON"T PIMP IT IF YOU WONT PLAY IT!!!

I don't understand this statement at all.

Companies that sell products pay real money to these players for the ability to advertise their products, or their company brand, on their golf bags.

By definition, that makes it advertising space.

Just because it's a personal piece of property, doesn't mean it can't be advertising space.  If a person owns a billboard off the side of the road, that is their personal piece of property... and they have the option of using it to generate income by selling advertising space.

Also, all money aside, just because someone "endorses" something on their golf bag, doesn't mean they need to have a whole bag full of matching equipment.  Heck... I use a Ping bag, but don't have a single Ping club in it.  I just like Ping bags.  They make great equipment, but it's not the best fit for me right now.  There's nothing wrong with that.

Cobra pays this guy to use their bag and headcovers... and possibly a couple clubs.  Good for him... I'm sure we'd all jump at the chance to be in that position.  However, he has found that not all Cobra equipment is the best fit, so he has gone to a few different brands to find what works best for him, and his golf swing... and that makes him a hypocrite?  Pretty sure that the only person who cares that his clubs don't all match his bag is you.  Most of us on this board love seeing mixed bags, as it's not the norm on tour (because of all the 13 and 14 club endorsement contracts).

Maybe try calming down on the uneducated personal attacks, spend less time with a thesaurus and more time in the real world...
