1. Vaaler Creek
-for crazy challenging pins and the impeccable condition and serenity out in Blanco.

2. The Bandit
-amazing, fun lay out.

3. TPC - Oaks
-played it a ton so maybe I'm biased. Wish it was a little wider tho ;)

Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and suggest you don't check that out. Ditto is a terrible muni that's actually closed for a complete renovation right now. I'm assuming ebomb is joking on this one

Chester Ditto...I lived in apartment right across the street when I first moved to Tx, ahhh the muni memories....father-son I was paired with that played out same bag as they walked the round, "Dad, bring me a 7iron after you hit over there," both literally stood couple inches from cup on every hole and "watched" as i putted, can't get those pairings at most top 3 courses....haha

Dallas Nat'l...thanks Phil for hookup back in the day

Cowboys Golf Club...as a Skins fan, I had to leave a "little tarnish" on that Star in the middle of fairway

La Cantera Palmer....it's a Mr Palmer course and as many hills as u will find on a Tx course

1. Dallas National
2. Austin Golf Club
3. Brookhollow Golf Club

I normally don't like Fazio courses but Dallas National is on such a great piece of land it really is hard to believe you are in north Texas. AGC is awesome, some very cool bunkering and great great complexes, great short game facility. Brookhollow is just old classic course and the old Tillinghast architecture is awesome on the holes where it is prominent.

Played PT in the winter when the grass was dormant so I didn't really get to experience it in top form. Atmosphere is unequaled anywhere IMO. Really want to get on Whispering Pines, the membership thing they do is very different and I always forget how much it is and the other details. I also want to get on Vaquero and Trinity Forest. I still haven't talked to anyone who has played TF yet.

The Tribute is a really fun track in Frisco.   Love the scottish layouts.
Crown Colony in Lufkin used to be the bomb back in the day.  I haven't played it since the late 90's.
Mill Creek in Salado was also the cat's meow back in the 90's.

That I've played:

Vaaler Creek (conditions great and cool track for a cheap price)
Canyon Springs (conditions alright, but a really neat track)
Rawls Course - Lubbock (fun course, but will eat your lunch on the greens or if not playing the prevailing wind)

Honorable Mentions:
Horseshoe Bay - AppleRock - some really beautiful holes but some are also gimmicky and force you into certain plays (#16 for sure).
TPC San Antonio - Oaks. Hard as hell.
Crown Colony - really fun track, but a few holes were just ok.
Carlton Woods CC - Nicklaus - Awesome Clubhouse and perfect conditions, few really cool holes and few really "blah" holes.
Columbia Lakes - was a member in the late 90's...is a total goat track now but back in the 80's and early 90's when big oil was funding it it was plush and really nice.  Tough, tight course that was challenging. Sad that its in its current state.
