Mine arrives today! Looking forward to trying something else considering my J33P gamer is 12-13 years old.  Loved the 917D3 with Oban Kiyoshi Purple (indoors only) and 2016 M1 with Oban Revenge (which I have had on course luck with), but got a great deal on this one.  Fingers crossed!

I hit this driver on friday. I game a cobra fly z and I tested out a couple of shafts in my driver, and then tried the 565, m2,f7,king ltd and the 565 was the only one with a higher ball speeds and a few that were a 2/3 yards longer. I am a low spin player and the spin seemed perfect to me. Definitely not high spin. Shaft wasnt a perfect fit but ok. It feels as if the ball absolutely explodes off the face. Gains werent enough to warrant a driver upgrade. But this is a solid driver!

Swing about 103-105 with a driver and I generally do better with X stiff in the 60-gram range. (In 70g or more, drop down to stiff.)

The Miyazaki Mizu is a nice feeling shaft. I tested a stiff and I thought it played a little soft. Am leaning toward the 6-x flex in a 765. I did not get to try it on X flex. Anyone playing and liking the X flex in this line? Thanks

Similar swing speeds to you and I too felt the stiff Miyazaki is a little soft. I got the 3+ in a 6x and fits me very well. Moderate to fast tempo and shaft keeps up when I try and step on it.

I did a fitting yesterday (4 handicap 105mph driver speed).  I went in heavily biased toward getting the Callaway Epic as I really like the feel and look of those heads.  After trying it and several other drivers TaylorMade, Titleist, etc., the fitter handed me a Srixon 565.  To be honest I didn't even want to try it, but I was completely surprised.  My numbers were better with the Srixon.  The Srixon was the longest (only by a little) but the shot dispersion was significantly better.  Ball after ball I was finding it difficult to hit a bad ball with it.

In the end I narrowed it down to the Callaway and the Srixon.  I really wanted the Callaway, but after 20 minutes of alternating the two clubs (with various shaft combinations), I shockingly ended up buying the Srizon with a Tensei shaft.  I never would have even hit the damn thing if the fitter didn't insist.

Demo one if you can but am really liking mine with stock Kaula Mizu 6.  I think they can be had on global golf for around $240 currently and a little less from time to time on ebay.  Make the leap!!!

Too much compared to what?  It seems that it is cheaper than most other 2016/17 model drivers.  And it wouldn't be as much on the BST if you can find one due to the lack of popularity compared to the EPIC and M line.

I bought one after I read the article I have been extremely happy with the purchase. I had a the Ping G I liked a lot but glad I got the 565 it launches it higher and I have picked up a few yards. It all started because I picked up the the Z U65 utility 2 iron to replace my ping cross over like it so much I picked up the 4 U65 then read the article about the driver so got it too. Srixon stuff is every bit as good as any company out there.

I am with you. The 765 sets up well to my eye and if I can't hit a 445cc club, going to a 460cc head is not going to make any difference. I was playing the Nike Flex 440 for two seasons and switched to a 460 head for a while and actually made center contact less often in the larger head.

So now I am eyeing the 765 or will wait for the new Ping G400, also a 445cc head.

I picked one up with a Tensei Blue.  Only had one range session so still way early.  Like the look and feel of the head but not sure about the shaft.  Coming from a couple of HZRDUS shafts, the Tensei Blue feels very different and I just never really got a feel for it.  I did hit some great shots with it but my bad shots were REALLY bad....like "power fades" of which I haven't seen since the days of being a beginner!  Need to give it more time before deciding if it is for me.

Global Golf has a nice sale going for Father's Day weekend. Just picked up a preowned z765 driver, rated excellent condition, with 65g Miyazaki Mizu stiff for $265 shipped. And they even throw in a Golf Digest subscription, and since I have one, they extend it by a year. Pretty good price for a barely used club. I have an old z355 and am excited to try the smaller head. They've got preowned 565s in very good condition for $240.

Took mine out the range for the first time.  No wrench with it, so I feel I need to open it at least 1 degree, maybe 2.

First, though I think though the Aldila tour green is a good feeling shaft (my J33P had the original NV),  the kick point is a bit off for me.  Need some on course experience, but I'm really thinking about switching to either the Oban revenge or kyoshi purple given my swing.  I agree with the above about the 765 vs. 565 size.  I came from a J33P and have never liked a 460 driver (though the 2016 M1 with the Oban Revenge are about as good of a combo as I've hit on course).  I really went with the 565 for the extra forgivenesss.  But even after one session, I"m wondering how well I"ll be able to gel with the size.  The only other drivers that have set up well to the eye and with good numbers are the 917 D3 and M1 440.

I will say though that mishits weren't punished in the least on the range.  My miss is low and low/heal and this thing had some real nice roll and speed for a mishit.   Toe mishits were bad hooks though.  Flush or anywhere near the center was just a rocket!  Great flight, sound isn't as bad as some reviewers make it out to be.

Really wish I could get some numbers with a few shafts on it.  One would think in a city of 6 million people that could happen easier

Congrats on the 565. I think it has a nice look among the 460 cc heads.

Aldila Blue might be one to try. Different kickpoint that feels so different to me than the Green. I hammer the Blue in a driver or fairway metal. The Green gets out there too, and I did not hate it, but the Blue was smoother and for me, better. I still play it in my fairway and if I don't like the Miyazaki Mizu in my soon-to-arrive 765, I won't hesitate to try the Blue.

Or my old standbys -- Diamana Blueboard or Whiteboard. I have often got excellent results with Mitsubishi Rayon shafts in almost any head. Love 'em.

Keep us posted. Never too much Srixon info!

Hit my new 565 today for the first time since I got it last week.  It's been raining so much here in Atlanta that I had to go to a range with mats and rubber tees (which I hate).  I need to get it dialed but when hit flush, this thing is sweet.  i am not at all going to compare it to the Epic because the rain and mats and everything just aren't ideal for a comparison.  I can definitely say, the combo of the 565 and HZRDUS Yellow 65 is definitely butter!  I'll do a better comparison when the conditions get better.

Okay, I took advantage of the sunny day we had today and went to the range I normally frequent (outdoor with grass).  After my normal warm up with the SW and 8 iron, I went ahead and did a head-to-head with the 565 and the EPIC SZ.  I don't own a launch monitor or anything so I'm going off of the distance I hit the ball and the dispersion I saw.  It was a fairly windy session (roughly 10-15 mph in my face) and the range uses the WIlson Staff limited flight balls so true distance is negligible.  So here goes...

About me:

SS average 105 with the driver
Shoot 90-92 on average (proud to say my review doesn't come from a scratch golfer)

Looks:

I'm not a traditionalist so the plain black top on the 565 isn't appealing or a turn-off for me.  It's just a nice looking head shape that seems to sit slightly closed.  The HRZDUS Yellow shaft with the plain black head does look sexy though.  I actually like the looks of the EPIC SZ (the green doesn't bother me at all).  With the HZRDUS yellow shaft, the Srixon looks really sexy so I'll give the looks a tie.

Feel:

So since both drivers have different shafts (Fuji Pro 62 vs HZRDUS Yellow) they'll definitely feel different.  I had to get used to the Yellow but once I swung it enough, I really liked it.  I'm used to the muted feel off the face of the SZ, but I can say that the 565 was similar.  It also felt sort of muted.  I think the tie-breaker goes to how the shaft felt.  I like the Fuji Pro 62 but I REALLY like the feel of the Yellow.

Distance and Dispersion:

Okay, so the Epic SZ shines when it comes to distance.  I know it's not like that for everyone when it comes to launch monitors, but for me, the proof on the course is that I'm hitting the SZ in places I haven't seen since the OptiForce 440 (which I still kick myself for selling).  This was no exception as I definitely hit the ball further with the SZ, HOWEVER, the 565 wasn't a short knocker and wasn't much shorter than the SZ.  The biggest difference came with the dispersion.  The SZ can spray shots on less than perfect contact.  They are long slices or hooks.  The 565 didn't punish me on non-so-perfect swings and the ball still went without being too far offline.  I like this a lot.  I'm not sure if the SZ with a HRSDUZ Yellow would fix the dispersion, but I'm a believer that the 565/Yellow combo is a winner.

Overall:

One grass range session is tough to say the 565 will boot the SZ out as the starter, but I'm keeping both so I win either way!!!  I look forward to the relationship I can have with the 565 though.  It's that sweet!

Thanks for your feedback, thejuice. I'm in a similar situation after just picking up a 565 to compete with my SZ. Haven't hit the 565 yet but after a few range sessions with the SZ I think I have it dialed in. Not sure if I want to take 565 out of plastic now but I'm super curious about how it'll perform on miss hits/dispersion compared to the SZ.

I keep hearing one strong report after another on the 565/HZRDUS Yellow combo.

Love me some high balance point shafts. Just seem to help my tempo.

Just went for a good fitting session yesterday.   While I did like the smoothness of the Tour Green, I felt I was launching it too low and having to work the shaft a bit much.

Tested:
Fubuki J 50 and 60
Oban Purple
Oban Gold
Oban Revenge
Diamana Red
Diamana Blue

I have to say I was mightily impressed by the Fubuki J; wasn't thinking I would want a high launch, but this shaft just had a beautiful feel throughout the swing and wonderfully stable too.  The dispersion was perfect 9/12 shots were within 6 yards left/right from midline; I gained an avg of 23 yards of carry and 17 yards total distance.  Launch avg at 13.2 with spin around 2300-2400. Efficiency up from 1.43 to 1.51.  Can't wait for it to arrive.  One more round the the tour green, then the beauty of a fit shaft commences.

Got a 565 these on the way.  Does it have much of a draw bias as they describe?  Reason I went with it over the 765 but I actually prefer the look of the 765.  Anyone hit both of these?

Demoed a number of drivers today, looking to replace my JPX 850.  Was shocked to see my local shop with the Srixon in lefty, and with the tour issue Miyazaki Kaula shaft to boot.

This driver won going away.  Hands down one of the best, most forgiving drivers I've ever hit.  Dispersion was great, length was on par with most others.  The feel and the look were spectacular.

The irons are getting deserved love, bit if you're looking at a new driver, give the 565 a smash.  I'm very surprised these drivers haven't gained more traction.

As I walked out of the shop, the shop owner:  "Excellent choice.  So many people don't know what they're missing"

I play a stock fade and didn't have any problems.
