I picked up a box of these off of Craigslist for $20. They clearly didn't know they were somewhat of a hard find and could be sold for a lot more. Anyways I thought about saving them but decided to just save a sleeve of them and play the rest. I forgot how sweet these balls were and wish they still made them. They would be my gamer ball for sure. Anyone else ever play them when they were around???

A good friend of mine was on staff with Hogan and loved that ball, he use to give me sleeves of them and they were really good. It was around 2005. I still have one sleeve in my collection stamped with his nickname (sorry not interested in selling them)

It was a good ball....MG tour c4 was the same construction for a time after the tour deep was no longer being produced....,those select few "deep" dimples were a dead give away.

I remember those, they were sweet. Hard to find back then too--I think only one store out of five in my area carried them.

I always had it in my mind that these were my least favorite balls of that era. Had a set of hogan sticks around then, so no bias. It's been 10+ years so hard to remember exactly but I thought they felt hard and didn't go anywhere. I know I never put them in play in anything that mattered.

I will say they were better than the driver that hogan made about that time. Really wanted to like it, but that thing was short and spun like a wedge.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on these points

I loved the Tour Deep.  Bought about 15 dozen of them off the 'Bay for around $25 a dozen.  Had my first ace with them after 30 years of playing, won two club championships, and scored like a mad man.  Was really saddened when I couldn't get them any more.

Definitely my favorite ball for the last few years they were obtainable. For me a great combination of distance, feel, spin and durability. I miss them.

Being from Ft Worth I am a Hogan fan.

Back in the mid 2000's my bag and every club but driver and 3w were Hogans.

Most of my hats were also Ben Hogan and of course I played a Hogan ball.

Pretty sure there were tour players sponsored by Hogan that didn't have the amount of Hogan gear on display as I did.

Looking back I laugh at it.  But the quality, craftsmanship and consistency of the Hogan products  never let me down.

I know I'm replying to an old post but this made me laugh.  I think you are referring to the Hogan CS-3 driver.  I had one and yes that thing spun like crazy.  You'd nut one only to watch it fall out of the sky like a wounded duck about 30 yards behind your playing partners.

Great ball. Performed similarly to the Pro V1 at the time if my memory serves correctly. I think Callaway integrated the deep dimples into their Tour i balls after they bought Hogan about 10 years ago.
