Finally my search for bigger irons has ended.

Went for a fitting today and couldn't believe how good these irons felt - Long, Look great and EASY to hit.  AP1 easy without the lefts.  Never considered a cobra iron before - Walked out with a Set 4-Gap, 2/3 Utility Iron, 54 58 Pur wedges!

Unreal how far Iron Tech has come - these things launch a mile in the air, go striaight and feel amazing.

Those irons look nice.

I'm currently gaming a different manufacturer's irons but Cobra has been on my radar for awhile.

Have you played forged irons in the past?

How would you compare the feel of the Cobra's to a forged iron?

Well, since the irons he posted about are forged, I would say they feel the same.

I hit these irons on multiple occasions and know I should be playing them.

Was actually fit into them this past fall with both stock shafts and S300.

Can't pull the trigger for some reason - they feel amazing, look amazing and are Long.

The Cobra irons are a 2 piece iron with drilled tungsten plugs.  I think it's fair to ask how they feel versus a forged iron made from a single block of steel.

They absolutely do not feel like a one piece forged iron.  They feel a little harder and louder, not saying it's bad, but definitely not like a nice forged head.

I picked up a new set before Christmas at Cobra during a holiday tent sale.  I paid $210 for brand new 4-PW.  Best purchase ever   I have tried to replace them but the combo of distance, forgiveness and feel is hard to beat.

I have forged tecs in the bag since April 2016.  I also have a set of Callaway Apex CF16's that I only played 5 rounds with and those are in the closet.

So I wasn't looking to buy new irons. In fact my fresh backup set of Adams A4 I just reshafted with Recoil 95 a couple weeks ago and luv them as it was getting time fir me to move away from the black gold hammers and tested Recoil etc   Thats going to be this seasons gamer set.

Go to one of local outdoor ranges for practice that also sells clubs and saw the Cobra Forged Tec and liked the shape. I hit lots of demos here and there during my visits to this place.  Never liked the original C taper so didn't expect much from the C taper lite 110.  Gave the 7 iron a go during my practice session.  Wowzer is right!  Just completely blown away with feel ,strike, launch, carry, forgivenes and ability to work the ball.  C taper lite was a great fit for my swing.  This is nuts.

Go back the next day and give it another try. Boom same thing just really fun to hit. Hit a couple other favs the cf16 and the mizzy 900 forged. Forged Tec winner.

Seriously thought about buying new set which you can see I don't do often as been playing A4 for quite awhile , had a couple sets.  As luck would have it the Bay had a set for a good price and brown just dropped them off.  Great looking set. In the bag they go and we will see how they work in this weeks games.  Expecting some distance control issues with the lofts etc but will have to try and work it out on the range and course.    I had looked earlier in the winter at the Fly z+ and the Forged Tour but didn't see or feel much better to me then A4. Forged Tec is just different altogether. Hope it performs in the game

You won't be dissapointed. I loved them indoors and they were even better on the course. I can't practice as much anymore and the forgivness is amazing without being a shovel. Great clubs all around. You can tell there is a ton of "tech" in these heads. The strong lofts also didn't bother me like I thought. They are long but easy to dial in as they are very consistent.

I just finished my 3rd round with these irons.  Really liking everything about them.  The 7-PW hit on rope.  The face sets very square and I think that definitely helps accuracy.

I'm coming off playing Callaway 16's and TM M2 Tour irons.  Pleased so far!

I may be in the market for some new irons, but I have never seen these in person.  How do they compare size wize to ping i25(current set)?  I assume they would be longer due to lofts.  I'm not necessarily looking for the longest iron in the world just more of a penetrating flight than the i25 offers but maintains good forgiveness.  I currently have the i25 with px 5.5

Also, it looks like these cobra irons have been out a while-are they due for an update soon?
