I was back in town for a couple weeks and took friends out since TPC gives me a nice discount for guests. Only once did I keep score, or should I say actually focused on playing and I shot 69. The other few times it was probably -2 to +4. I was driving the ball terribly until a friend mentioned something about posture and then I hit every fairway and shot that 69. Are you a member out there?
Enjoy the chase.

I apologize for not having a whole lot of content yet. As the Canadian season nears I have been very focused on my daily routines. Exercising, eating right, maintaining my game, and of course getting plenty of rest. I am a very, very streaky putter and a very good driver of the ball but I don't have a lot of confidence at times in myself off the tee. I've been working on a few things and think I have found "it".

With my driver I had been tilting down and to the left a smidge in my back swing which made me come out of it on the downswing. I am trying to feel like I move off the ball and up to the right so I can unleash down and through at impact. With putting I have worked on taking as much timing out of it as possible. The past two rounds I have driven it incredibly long and straight and started off with 32 on the front twice. Once with one bogey, once bogey free. On the back nines I fizzled out but I think once I get these tweaks ingrained I will be able to continue it the whole round. I like how things are going and look forward to updating y'all on my future progress
Enjoy the chase.

No ma'am I figured I would just focus on Canada this time around. If I had exempt status I probably would have attempted to do U.S. Open qualifying. Good luck to Matt in Tacoma!

Enjoy the chase.

Good call Chad, one of the biggest mistakes Matthew made last year was doing too much.. not having status can cause that sometimes and its draining and difficult..

Hey y'all. I'm playing in a Coastal players tour event in Pawley's Island just to pass time and work on a few things before Canada. Like I had mentioned before I've been struggling with finishing my rounds as well as I started them. Today I shot 33 on the front without birdies on the two par fives. One I had a 6 iron and three putted and the other hit a 3 iron 245 over the green because I totally could do that into the wind. Anyways I was bogey free until 13 and added one at 15 to shoot 71. Not the way I wanted to finish but I still have a two shot lead after day one. If I can do a little better on the par fives and finish a little better I'll be in a great position to win again and also Monday qualify for the three upcoming events in B.C.!
Enjoy the chase.

This game is frustrating. I did better on par fives today. I birdied 3 and bogeyed one of them. I actually started -4 through 5 and again failed to finish strong. I bogeyed 6,9,11,13,18 to shoot even. Still leading but I could've put this thing away already if I hadn't shot 38 both days on the back nine.

Chad, didn't read this thread until tonight. Saw you today on the practice green at Pawleys, I was the guy wearing the white visor and green polo putting next to you! Small world, little did you know you had four GolfWRXers with you on the course today.

Great playing at Pawleys so far, hope you do well!

I know you'll be focused on golf, but enjoy your time in Victoria, Vancouver and Kelowna. Right there are three of the most beautiful places in existence, particularly Victoria and Vancouver.

I'm in Calgary, so feel free to PM me when you swing by this way. Funny story, the wife of the head pro at the host course at the ATB Financial Classic was my social studies teacher in middle school. The head pro's name is Brett Burgeson, and he's a heck of a player too. I'd contact him once you're in the event and ask to play a practice round with him.
Former professional golfer. Current amateur human being. Reformed club ho.

Dissapointed. I feel like I gave it away. Again I struggled with a hot start and faded. I birdied 1 and 2, hit a ball in the water on 5 and lipped out for bogey, then just a total brain fart on 8 after birdie on 7. I hit a ball fractionally OB and then had 217 into the wind with water right for my fourth shot and came out of it. Dropped, missed green and chipped in for 7. Heading to the back I was 1 stroke back. We both bogey 13, I lipped out for Eagle on 14 and we're tied after my birdie. Miss birdie on 16, he birdies 17, I hit a perfect tee shot on 18, hit my wedge right over the flag but was too amped and flew it on the backside of the ridge I was supposed to spin it off of and left my self a 35 foot must make up and over a ridge slight moving left to right. I hit it, and it is tracking so well...but it must've been a fraction right because it took the hardest lip i have ever see in my short 20 years of life. I legitimately thought I was going to shed a tear it was that shocking. So I lost by one. All in all I got what I wanted. Reps under pressure to learn my tendencies which I have figured out now, and to put myself in position to win a golf tournament. This sucks but you live and you learn. Next stop is Vancouver for the Monday Qualifier on May 29th.

I hate it for you, but if you can use it to step forward, it helps. We had sever lip-outs on several holes on our round yesterday. Tough course, where it was hard to keep any momentum going.

You played well on a tough course. So you are gearing up for the season really well.

Play well in Canada! I will watch for update
