I wonder if Titleist will make a forged version of the ap2 (AP3) to match the JPX 900 tours???

Yes,  I stated it wrong, I meant to say the AP2 to have a more blade style profile to it, like the JPX Tour. I guess I'm a little older so when I reference forged clubs I automatically think blades with thin soles & top lines.

Not sure but these look like new MBs from Graham DeLeats bag at the Byron Nelson this week...

If by new, you mean 4 year old 714mbs, then you're dead on the money :)

Well dang.

Was going to say the same, those look the same as what I have in my bag minus some of the wear that I have on mine.

Will be interesting to see what they have for the styling on the new MB. The 716 was good looking enough that if I have to pick between something that looks very similar to what I have now and paying less for the brand new older model, I can live with that.

Thats what my rep "implied" to me. I thought the AP3 would slot between AP2 and CB but it appears it will be between AP1 and AP2. Kind of strange because then titleist irons will go, in order of most forgiving to least, AP1-AP3-AP2. Would've thought they'd be in 1-2-3 order

that makes no sense whatsoever.... why would u slot another cavity back in there? the progression is perfect the way it is with this line. if any major change takes place the CB line will go away. They don't sell

I agree that the CB will probably go away.  My guess is the AP2 will be slotted into that spot and shaped to be more of that players CB, the AP3 will be slotted and shaped in between the AP2 and AP1, and the AP1 will remain in the spot it has always been.  Just my prediction.

You could be right, a way to bring C16 technology to production clubs like they did the driver weighting. 718AP3 priced lower than C16 but higher than 718AP2..$1,600 about..

I don't get how you can slot a club called an "AP3" in between the 1 and 2.....it  makes zero sense....especially from a marketing standpoint.  I have played the titleist CB's for many years and its the best club ive ever played, hands down. Its the most under rated club out there IMO, but they just are not popular. I could see the CB line getting dropped at some point or "changed" and rebranded somehow (maybe this becomes the AP3?)  The AP2 will be around for many many years as will the MB and AP1. if there is a major change coming, its with the CB due to popularity issues. A rebranding of this club makes the most sense and a new badge called the Ap3.....

i am still waiting for the new AP3, and i think we will see the 718´s iron Line´s at the Quicken Loans National next week. Unfortunately Titleist don´t sell the T-MB in Europe (only Driving Iron´s in Europe, but not the whole set) only in USA and Japan :-(, and because of that i would go to the new AP3.

I'm saying it is the AP2's. Just the set is better blended. They all look the same instead of what they have now which is different color on the AP1.

Would be cool if it was kind of like a combo set of AP1 like forged long irons and Ap2 like scoring irons

Which is exactly what I play.  AP1 (712) 5, 6, 7.  AP2 (714) 8 - PW
im lost....why would you make AP2 "like" scoring irons when you can just buy the AP2's?

I'm saying it is the AP2's. Just the set is better blended. They all look the same instead of what they have now which is different color on the AP1.
Ap1 and AP2's are 2 totally different clubs, not just color

I understand that thus why I am saying it would be nice if they had a blended set. I guess I am just not saying it properly
