Use Oxiclean Bright Whites when washing your whites. Sunscreen won't ruin them.

Or if your collar already has a nasty yellow sunscreen stain soak the shirt overnight in a bucket of water with Oxiclean in it. Then wash it and it will look fresh and minty again.

Are you soaking with Oxiclean bleach or detergent? If detergent the Bright whites as posted above?

I forget which ingredients I avoid but I've found as soon as I quit wearing sunscreens that were turning my skin red and irritated, my shirt collars became easy to clean with just a squirt of Shout and then going in with the regular laundry.

The same things that used to ruin my shirts was also ruining me!

Now I use one with a minimum of chemical sunscreens and a whole lot of Titanium and/or Zinc Oxides. It leaves a very unsightly residue inside the shirt collar but it washes right out (at least on synthetic fabric collars, not so much on all-cotton).
Life is like the ocean. It can be calm or rough, but in the end it is full of salt and dead animals.

I need a white shirt that won't allow the tattoo's on my upper arms to be seen.  Not that I don't like them, but I put them there so that they don't show when I have a shirt on.  Most of the newer fabric white shirts are effectively see through.

I use the standard Oxiclean. Mix it in a bucket of water and put the shirt in it. Next day run it through the laundry and almost every time the stain is gone.

Living in the desert I use a lot of sunscreen every day and reapply it mid round. It doesn't take long for whites to look pretty dingy.

My girlfriend got me a white UA polo at Costco for what I presume was <$40. It feels more substantial than my typical Cally polos.

It has a gray logo on the front, and gray "Under Armour" spelled out on the back shoulder. I like it because the logos aren't gaudy.

Might want to check out MG Golf's offerings. I purchased some of their shirts early last year & have been pleasantly surprised how well they have held up.

Quick update on the Charleston green shirt: got one for father's day and wore it this morning in some muggy, sticky conditions.  It performed as well as any "dry fit" like shirt I own, and you can't see my tattoos through it!

The only thing the plain white golf shirt is good for is to match up to these pants and anything in Ian Poulter's closet.

Ordered the Magnolia Blossom shirt, and it feels great. Gigantic though. Definitely order a size down as suggested. Thank you Charleston Green Apparel for making me think I can actually fit into a L!

I know that it is not fashion forward, but on really hot days, wearing patterned shorts, it just calls for a plain white shirt.

We were all brought up on the white RL Polo...but now a days, it is too hot for North Carolina golf.

Most makers white shirts are so thin that the ni%%les or chest hair show.  White shirts are basically disposable, because they lose their whiteness after one summer.

Who make a quality, dry tech, non paper thin white shirt for less than $40 (my personal budget for disposable shirts)?

Put oxyclean (you can get it at costco) in with your white shirts when you do wash. That and a little bleach will keep them white as new.

I have shirts 3 or 4 years old with no yellowing.

If you can find an outlet mall, you can get Under Armour, Adidas, and Puma for under $40 and in plain white (sometimes).

This Walter Hagen Golf Polo from Dick's is excellent. Read the reviews. I have a couple and rotate them with UA and Cutter Buck shirts. Normally $50, but they are always on sale and currently only $20.

Which sun screen is that? I'm one of those unfortunate sexy fellows with a bald and shaved head, so sunscreen and/or a full brim hat is key for me.

You might think I'm crazy, but I've worn short sleeve oxford cloth button down shirts for golf forever.  Every so often, I'll get a "high tech" shirt for a gift; they all look sloppy and feel synthetic.  The OCBD's feel great, to me, anyhow.

The OCBD always looks good, and doesn't show "moobs."

Even cheap JC Penney OCBD's last pretty long.  Look for BOGO sales.

Try it, you might like them.
