Got a smart TV last month and have been watching some Netflix SmartCast from my phone which is pretty cool.

Thought I'd start a thread where viewed Netflix content can be shared and critiqued.

Here's a few I've watched...

The Battered Bastards of Baseball
A documentary on Kurt Russels father, Bing, who was an actor and HUGE baseball fan who grew the Portland Mavericks single A baseball team into a thriving, fan loving independent team vs the MLB machine.  Absolutely loved this doc.

The Short Game
A doc on young golf phenoms heading to the US Kids Golf Championships.
Impressive kids.  Enjoyed it a lot.

Iverson
Obviously a must see if an Iverson fan.  Not bad.

The Road
Recommended if you're a Sci-Fi fan.  Post apocalypse theme.

The Way
Directed by Emilio Estevez starring his father, Marten Sheen.  Highly recommend.  Loved it.

Seve: The Movie
I couldn't get into it and didn't finish.

Hyena Road
Recommended if you like recent middle-eastern conflict movies.

Last Man Standing TV Series
We're big Tim Allen fans at our house and love this show.

I am about to cancel it.

The movie selection is lame, the network/cable series they show I can watch on cable itself and

Im not a big fan of their original shows. Except for Narcos, which is awesone but not enough. I never seem to watch netflix.

I like Amazon prime much better. Movies are better, you can rent streaming movies and I like a couple of their originals. Plus you get the Amazon shipping deal.

But, I can see how many would like netflix. Just not the right shows for me.

Bloodlines was pretty decent. Fauda was cool, based on Iraqi military type stuff. Finished The Following a couple weeks ago. The first couple seasons were good. I also watched The Killing. Again, good at first but lost it's momentum. The 100 was pretty watchable if you like sci-fi and hot young chicks. I also really liked hell on wheels, a story about the trans continental railroad. We just finished 13 reasons. It was ok, probably better for teens, but my wife likes that stuff. I've watched so many Netflix shows over the past 4 months I lost track...stupid Michigan winter.

*I know these aren't all Netflix originals, just shows I first found on Netflix.

Friday Night Lights is a must for sports fans.

The wife has started watching Revenge and I actually enjoy it. It has a dang twist every episode.

Prison break was a great show. Had some slow moments but overall I really liked it. New season is on tv now.

Arrow. Probably my favorite show ever.

Watched a couple of episodes of "13 Reasons Why".  Pretty well written and acted, but juvenile.

For anyone who hasn't watched stanger things, it's a must. And good news for you existing stranger things fans. Season 2 is filming. The bad news is that it doesn't premier until October. I saw a teaser trailer, holy crap it looks amazing.

I've never seen an ensemble of kids all offer such incredible performances, And the adults nail it too. Wynonna Ryder is great.

And i kind of agree that that the movie selection sucks mostly. But I am a cord cutter. I don't think I'd have Netflix if i had cable. But the cable cabal will never see another dime of my money.

If you're in to documentaries about the nazis or the nuclear arms race, Netflix has got it covered.

I've been watching a series called Designated Survivor recently. Episode 1 was pretty dire, and it has steadily gotten worse. Strangely, 18 episodes in I am still watching.

Currently rewatching Dexter.

Picked up Netflix about a month ago. I'm getting through my Marvel fix. I got Daredevil season 1 on Blu-ray and just finished up Season 2 and Jessica Jones. Gonna start Luke Cage next and then Iron Fist.  Need to make it through Agents of Shield. I quit watching after five or six episodes of Season 1.

I've heard good things about Stranger Things so that's on the list. The maybe I'll start the Blacklist.

There's a compelling documentary called The Fear of 13 that I just watched a week or 2 ago.  It's a pretty staggering crime story.  Bloodline, Narcos, Stranger Things and Peaky Blinders are all excellent shows.  Where Netflix shines right now is stand up comedy.  Dave Chappelle has two great new specials out.  Some of my other recent favorites are : Bill Burr - Walk Your Way Out, Ali Wong - Baby Cobra, Louis CK - 2017, Jo Koy - Live From Seattle, Jim Norton - Mouthful of Shame, and Tom Segura - Mostly Stories.  Segura is great, his Mike Tyson story is priceless!

Peep Show is one of my favorite shows ever. It is a hilarious British comedy series about the classic odd couple, Mark and Jeremy, and their lives. Mix in a character named Super Hans and the backdrop of London.
I also love the first 5 seasons of Trailer Park Boys. After that it gets repetitive.
Arrested Development was great. F is for Family is hilarious. I agree that Stranger Things was amazing as well.

NCAA cartel should be paying the kids, IMO.  Didn't used to think so BUT many are getting filthy rich off of them.
Example: EA Sports shouldn't be able to use a players likeness w/o sharing the wealth.

Jackman and Bales as dueling magicians back in the late 1800's.  Many twists and turns.  Good movie.

About to start a third viewing of "The office", the greatest sit-com in television history, and just watched "no country for old men".

Also have been watching Netflix originals comedies "the ranch" and "Love", very different shows, both very funny

Thriller based on a true story.  Enjoyed.

Bonus - Went to see Cars 3 w/ my wife... what was I thinking... few chuckles from the crowd... even the kids.

Documentary on the Hollywood Shorties dwarf basketball team from the 70's.

Remember Billy Barty?  He started it all.  Loved it!
