I can only drive 300 yards in my car
67 is about how many oreos I eat a month
I prefer a spline truss to a white belt.
My main shoe collection is Cole Haan, not FJ
I don’t list the clubs I play in my signature - don’t know how to do it
I only putt well when I try
I have only 13 clubs
I play Bridgestone Balls R330 with no suffix.  The suffixes confuse me.

I should also note something funny about the 13 clubs.. (None of this is a passive brag, this is more or less re-deeming my WRX-ness, at the same time, not.)

I have 3 full bags worth of clubs. Not clubs that are 10 years old that just haven't been tossed, but pretty relevant, nice clubs. Some this years models or last even. I have a set of irons that hasn't even seen the course, and it's not because I never play.

I have no less than 10 wedges at home as well.

If you find me on the course with 14 clubs, it's because I brought something to the range a day or two ago, and didn't take it out.

Out of 10 wedges, I only game two (albeit, I'm testing a sw right now for the first time in a couple seasons).

Further more, it's all so unnecessary because even with a bag of 14 clubs, the only time most of them have hit a ball is because I am on the range and remember that I have a 4i or 5i and that I should practice hitting it every now and again. The only time I hit longer clubs on the course, honestly, is because they are there and I feel like trying it, unless there's a long par 3 or a mid-long one playing into the wind.

What's actually in the bag...
Callaway Epic SZ-9.0-Aldila X-Torsion Green Mamba-70TX
Callaway Epic SZ 15* - PX Handcrafted Yellow 75 6.5
Callaway Apex UT 21* - C- taper S+
Miura LH LTD Black Blades: 3-p w/ DG TI X7's.
Cleveland RTX 3: 50-54 w. C-Taper S+
Scratch 1018: 58 w/ C-Taper S+
Piretti Potenza / Odyssey MX #7

Others gamed on occasion:
Callaway BBA (2014)
Callaway 13 X Forged w/ AMT X100's (hard stepped once)
Scratch Golf 51,55,58,59
Wilson Staff Kirk Currie Milled

Never ever have I ever taken a paid golf lesson. But I carry a 3 vanity handi and submitted a video to the swing academy. Which to my recollection makes me a WRXer!!

No lessons is a good one--I'm in that boat too.  Never filmed my swing though--I'd rather not know!--let alone posted it here for discussion.  That's a can of worms I'd rather not open, no matter how much golfwrx fail points it costs me.

I'll also fess up to never having owned an alignment stick, not even the cheap driveway marker variety.

I've also never taken a lesson.

Alignment is something I need to work on, but I couldn't understand why anyone would ever buy an alignment stick. Those driveway markers would do just fine, yeah? Or, if you ARE a wrxer, you could just take a couple of those $300+ driver shafts and use those. Seems like good motivation to swing well.

lol, no, never got into the shaft-ho'ing thing, and my favorite driver shaft has been around at least 5 years.  $300 would buy me a lifetime supply of them too.  More fail points for me I suppose.

Back in the dark ages, when I was young, we used to simply use the other clubs in our bag when we needed to work on alignment.  I have no idea how any of us ever managed to break 100.  Just SOOOOO imprecise compared with modern alignment sticks!

I'd not thought of alignment sticks - I do not have the golf version or the Home Depot version.
TBH, I don't think I can handle the pressure. If I'm laying those down at the range I better be striping the ball on the target line and not slapping them into adjoining businesses.

I most certainly fail at everything when it coming to WRX'ing other than the fact that I would rather be golfing than doing about anything else.

I'm not long off the tee.

I stopped my ho'ing once I actually bought a good set of irons that fit me.

Said irons have graphite regular shafts.

Loathe everything Titleist....especially the Pro V1 and Scotty's

Love to listen to music on the course

Love to drink a lot of beer when I play

Do not care much about golf fashion

Also don't know a damn thing about trackman numbers and hope I never have to!

My fail is letting all the noobs on BST get to me. I don't know why..... maybe it's because the rules are listed and blatantly ignored. Maybe it's because I have been given timeouts in the past for forgetting to close an ad or being 14 minutes short of the 24 hour rule. I don't blame the mods. They have to put up with so much BS.
I laugh at the new guys who robo post on the BST thinking those posts count towards their 75.... you know the guys... "Nice gear!" on like 12 posts in a row.

anyway, I know I have a few more fails than that one but that is my biggest one along with guys who post about pricing. Those are the same guys who lowball the heck out of you so that is why people need to post high prices..... because if we posted a more attractive price they'd lowball even more.

oh, and apparently since I like PXG that is a HUGE EXPENSIVE fail

My fail?

*I* put the sky mark on my driver, not my 'friend' that should be blamed. I will totally confess when it goes to the BST.

Indeed, you should only spend 'that kind' of amount on something JDM. Brave man having it in your sig and everything.

As illogical as it will seem, give me a 5h from 200 yards and I have a better chance on being as compared to a wedge from 100 yards.

For me it's that god d*mn Odyssey Versa 2-Ball that I can't get out of my bag. I paid $85 bucks for it 3 years ago, stuck it in the bag and nothing can displace it.

Even my wife, who suggested I rent clubs on vacation, makes fun of me for using it.

It's got paint chips and is starting to fade in the looks department, but the f'ing thing won't stop making putts. I haven't even altered the length or changed the grip. I feel like some 3 rounds a year fanny pack wearing dad who walked into a Play-it-Again sports and picked it up on his lunch break when I pull the head cover off it.

The rest of my bag would make Charles Howell III blush with 'ho envy. Iron game tight and clean, late model woods with graphite design shafts, new wedges with fancy pants shafts I installed myself, not a stock head cover in sight.

There has got to be an unnecessarily expensive trendy putter out there that can knock it out for good, and I intend to keep wasting time and money until I find it. Until then, it's dug in like a tick.

Get the right hybrid + the right swing and you'll hit greens you would've never dreamed of before.

Another failure is I have a 3 hybrid.

And a 4...

And a 5...

And a 6...

Oh man you gotta get rid of those things before you hurt yourself.  Total hook machines.  What do you do?  Aim like 100 yards right and hope for the best?

Get the right hybrid + the right swing and you'll hit greens you would've never dreamed of before.

VNutz can verify this...last Sunday from 205 and the rough hybrid to 15-18 feet.  Wedge from about 30 yards and i missed the green.

Dave Pelz has asked me for the T-Shirt back.

I honestly couldn't tell you the date, weather conditions, course, course layout, pin placement, grass types, yardages, green complexes, playing partners, cart girl's name, what I had for lunch, or even what I shot after every single round I've ever played in my life.  It's sad really.

Hmm... that seems like an 'if a tree falls in the forest...' riddle there.
Can you be sure you play golf? Credit card receipts maybe? ;)

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins." My feedback has been stuck at 171 for months if not years = #wrxfailing

I don't think you can have more that one child and be a true WRX'er.  Instead of clubs and putters, I pay for childcare and food now. :scare2:

I only have 1 set of irons, no backups, not even a token set of trophy blades I could never play. However, I make up for that with 15 drivers, 37 Scotty Cameron putters and enough shafts to make Richard Roundtree take notice.

Updated for reality...

And rangefinders. Don't forget rangefinders!

I got back just in time for a predicted snowstorm. So still can't try the KSigs

I :

-- only have one set of clubs

-- didn't start playing until I turned 50

-- never purchase golf balls

-- don't hit it 300 yards (though I have a couple of times, but that was luck so it doesn't count)

-- spend four times as much time practicing my short game as opposed to my long game

-- don't own a white belt

-- never drink beer on the course or after the round

-- sometimes I take a cart

-- I have yet to break 70 :-)

My fail is that if I see something on the BST that I'm interested in at what I feel is a fair price, I don't lowball the seller.

I feel the seller has already taken the beating by purchasing new. I'm not going to rub their nose in it on the flip.

As a seller here, that is refreshing to hear. Unfortunately I'm not sure I have ever heard it!
