The only club I've bought in the last 8 years is a new driver, but my wedges are shot so that will change soon.
I've never used a launch monitor.
The putter I use the most is a junior putter that I got for $5, but it needed a new grip and lead tape bringing the cost to $13. I'm thinking about getting a cleaner one from eBay for $9.50.

No fail at Wrx'ing, just glad this site exists to prove that I haven't failed as a human being. How many times have I heard, nobody else has this many golf shoes, why do you need to buy even more golf clothes, why are all these clubs in the spare bedroom and you never take them to play, why why why....and none of my friends are Wrx worthy so haven't been able to say well ask Susan about George's golf buying patterns.....so  thank the stars you guys are here to legitimize me and my buying habits in her eyes....her response, you all need help and not the help that you guys think comes in the form of a putting lesson.

My WRX fail is that I couldn't, if my life depended on it, be organized enough to create a BST ad, deal with inquiries, and ship the clubs out to a buyer. That just seems incredibly painstaking and detailed for me.

But I can pay pal at the drop of a hat!

I can only drive 300 yards in my car
67 is about how many oreos I eat a month
I prefer a spline truss to a white belt.
My main shoe collection is Cole Haan, not FJ
I don’t list the clubs I play in my signature - don’t know how to do it
I only putt well when I try
I have only 13 clubs
I play Bridgestone Balls R330 with no suffix.  The suffixes confuse me.

I fail in most departaments.

My 150 yard stick is 7 iron

I only have 1 driver 1 set of irons and 2 putters

My irons are waaaaay too amateur (Cally XR's)

I don't have an eye to dissect the posted dtl and front view swings

I don't quite get what early extension is and the guys out here say Jack is an EE so I still wonder what's wrong with it.

But I do enjoy reading about our tribulations with the game we love, the quests to improve, the moaning and whining about slow play and lack of manners on the course and so on and so forth.

I started the year early with a 66 in March, however it was the 66 that was on my birthday cake... :swoon:

I did fail at buying golf equipment this year, bigtime, I only bought tees, lots of them, so I probably killed a tree...- fail

Ok, the only thing I bought last year was new grips, and I sliced two fingers open to the bone, and needed stitches. I only pulled the blade towards me one out of 14 times.
You can lose at box- knife roulette- just sayin'- I posted the fail

Under WITB, I've never posted anything yet, however what's in my bag at home is my Golf Buddy GPS. I faithfully charged it over the winter a couple of times, then charged it again the day before the league started 2 weeks ago. When I got to the course, I opened my bag, took off headcovers etc. and went to get out my GPS, and then remembered how nice it must look still charging on my dresser. It was Not ITB - fail

I putted on the basement carpet all winter long and got really good at it. However what I didn't plan well was that the real greens at the course would not be a straight putt, so the roll of carpet
I took to use there didn't work out :)... - fail

Maybe the area I fail at in WRX'ing the most, and hopefully I can do more at, since I've been playing since I was 14, is spreading the message that WRX, and golf should be very enjoyable. When I was a young golfer, and a middle aged golfer, I was more intense, almost stressed with my golf game, and I'm sure there's nothing wrong with being competitive and all about continual improvement, not saying that. But I have now learned to enjoy golf more than ever, and also appreciate it more than ever. And being here, I find you can always learn as well, and you can always listen to others, and appreciate others as well. I just want to do better at spreading the enjoyment that golf can bring you when you get older, and hopefully you can find at any age if you let it...

Ha! It took me some time to finally start doing that. That said, I have a bunch of iron heads still to sell, but I really cannot be arsed as it means going out and finding some small boxes. I also have a set of irons yet to sell, but again, I don't have a box and going to a golf shop and asking for one is so very difficult ;)

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins." I don't hit it 300+ very often.  And my tour issue deep face 3 wood wasn't deep enough to avoid top line marks.

Played last Sunday with 3 awesome WRX'ers...VNutz, DSS and BMan.  Hit the best drive of the day on a 520 yard par 5.  265 off the tee and in the fairway.

BMan was at least 20 yards past me.

DSS was 50 yards past me.

VNutz was at least 70 yards past me.

Sucks getting old and no longer being WRX long.  Is there a SeniorWRX.com site where you're long at 250?

I don't even play golf..

I've researched on this site for several years to attain the persona of a half way mediocre golfer, and took a lot of time to construct a WITB of clubs I considered to be some of the best looking and performing clubs for lefties, paired with some of the stiffest shafts available, because it didn't take long before I realized everyone here had a ruler in their pocket, just in case someone mentioned they hit a driver over 300 yards. It took a long time, and I had to be very careful to not have anything that's not available for lefties. I once had a set of 1957 baby blades listed in my sig till I figured out they aren't available for lefties. Nobody passed that test. I've just always been curious to know why anyone would be so interested in this stupid game and better understand the mindset of the golfer.. and you're all out of your gourd.

Just kidding. I wish that was the case. I am fully entrenched in this god forsaken game. I feel like I have schizophrenia (I spelled that right my first try, thank you very much) because of this game. Par the first hole "I love it, this is a great day!" Double bogey the second: "This day sucks! I suck! Not only should I quit, I should just dig a hole in the sand and live there because I don't even know what my purpose here is." Birdie the third "Eff yeah! I feel like I just got laid!." The cycle continues.

Another random side note: There is one set of 1957 baby blades out there in LH. The owner will not sell them to me. He's not a higher or lower power, because I offered my soul, without thinking to ask which afterlife to expect mind you, and no dice. Either that, or their more valuable than that even, which I could understand.

On topic: I am also not on the Mizuno train OP.

After reading my own post, I have realized I am turning into Richard.

"This reminds me of a tournament I played on May 15th in 76' with two hot blondes and Tiger." ;) just kidding, Richard.

Putters and wedges.  I fail at regularly spending obscene amounts of money on milled putters and wedges, and I don't change out my wedges every six months for ones with fresh grooves like all the other pros on here do.  Heck, my SW is a 30 year old Hogan where the bottom grooves have pretty much melted back into the face from which they came.  Putters are a variety of old Pings.  I've never once owned a putter head cover, not even an old one from Ping.  :sorry:

Tell you what though Duffer.....you totally busted me on the worn out Mizunos.  Here's a shot from a review thread I did a while back, Mizuno on the left, Hogan on the right:

I fail on many levels to be a true Wrx'er . Can't drive it 300 , I don't even use a driver - 3 wood / metal [ it's an old Big Bertha ]
Don't play nearly enough , but do enjoy the practice time I get .

I'm am a club 'ho - numerous sets floating around garage / car - even play Mizuno's albeit the  cavity back's mx 23 's

I will say the 'Wrx'er" image may be one thing  but anyone that spends time here is a Wrx'er  regardless of their handicaps -  Something for everyone  hacks like me or scratch -plus guys

Never ever have I ever taken a paid golf lesson. But I carry a 3 vanity handi and submitted a video to the swing academy. Which to my recollection makes me a WRXer!!

I play Bridgestone Balls R330 with no suffix.  The suffixes confuse me.

I didn't know there was an 330 without one!

Black and Yellow box.  It's a B, not an R.  See, I don't even pay attention.

No lessons is a good one--I'm in that boat too.  Never filmed my swing though--I'd rather not know!--let alone posted it here for discussion.  That's a can of worms I'd rather not open, no matter how much golfwrx fail points it costs me.

I'll also fess up to never having owned an alignment stick, not even the cheap driveway marker variety.
