My dream ball would be the Pro Neon in the red color, but not this new "soft" version.

Sounds like they listened to you.

Just got a couple boxes of the Vice Sampler pack from Rock Bottom Golf.  With their sale they might have been $20 for a dozen assorted free shipping.  From your description these are going to put my $1 a ball max to shame.

I have some coming to me! I'm hoping they're the same shade as the matte balls just shiny. The pics make them look a little dark red.

That said, Vice customer service is fantastic, they let me exchange my unused soft balls for the regular neons. Between that and the 5 pack I ordered, I'll have plenty of my favorite ball for this season. I ordered mostly lime, but a few packs of red, so I'll post pics when they arrive.

I'm ready to throw the remaining 3 sleeves of balls in the trash. I absolutely hate the feel of the Vice Pro Soft off the putter. It feels hollow. It feels like I'm putting with a plastic practice ball full of holes. It feels so damned light weight. Not soft, but light weight. After hours of practice putting and a couple rounds under my belt...I can never get the ball to the hole. It just won't roll far enough. I've practiced with the Vice Pro, Vice Pro Soft, and a Chrome Soft side by side. Chrome Soft and Vice Pro I'm a putting wizard (okay, not really, but still pretty damn good). Vice Pro Soft...nada. Nothing. Horrible.

Sent you a PM.

Do the Neon Red balls not make red marks all over your clubs? If not, I'm dying to buy them. Huge Louisville fan (red colors) and I loved the Vice Pro balls I bought 2 years ago.

My mixed order came today. Pro Neon Red ball below. Love it! I'm so stoked to have my favorite ball in a color I really enjoy.

Lime will always be my favorite, but I'm glad I got a few boxes of the neon red to mix it up.

My order of the Vice Pro Soft neon reds just came in! I just putted around for a few minutes on my putting green and I have to say that the feel is comparable to the Callaway Chrome Soft. I like the matte finish compared to the Volvik red, which I think looks too bright especially in the Phoenix sun. I'm not going to game the Vice until the 13th, but I will be on the putting green chipping and putting it. My initial impressions are favorable. I'll post a review after I play a round with them.

So confirmation on red balls in general not leaving behind nasty red marks? Dumb question but just curious

I haven't hit them, but I wouldn't imagine that they would leave a red mark. White balls don't leave white marks. I can't recall ever having a ball leave a mark on the club that wasn't from a sharpie.

No red marks with the 3-4 rounds I've played with them.

I know buying 1 dozen isn't a good value, but I ordered a dozen of the Red Pro Plus and the White Pro Soft this morning.

I wish they had a build your own trial pack for first time buyers.  I'm not interested in their bargain options, and 2 balls can disappear pretty quickly if you're having a bad day.

I actually ordered 3dz of the Red Pro Plus. Forgot that this thread was about the Pro Soft balls at first.

I just received my 5 dozen Neon Pro+.  Loved the way the Pro+ preformed last year and expect the same out of these plus I can track the ball better in Neon.  I'll try to update when I get them on the course this week.

Dang that was fast. Looks like the lime softs are sold out too, along with the lime Pro Neons.

Now I don't feel so bad for ending up with 9 dozen Pro Neons. :D

Glad to help. Thanks for the Q-Star Tours. I quite liked them. Not enough to overtake the Vice Pro Neon, but definitely a good ball.

I don't like gaming white balls, so it puts K-Sigs and others out of the running for me.

Got my Select Pack today and tried out the Vice Pro Soft. I was  extremely impressed.

Before I go into detail about my round, I want to definitely say that I have never played one of the 'expensive' balls before. Or even any urethane ball. The nicest ball I have played with is the Bridgestone E6 which I bought from LostGolfBalls.com. 2 reasons I have never bought/used the ProV1's, the ChromeSoft's, etc. is:

- The price.
- Did not truly think the ball would make a difference to my game (mid-high handicap)

Anyway, on to my round.

It was my best round I have had in while. I hit 95 and broke 100 for the 1st time this year. 95 is also my personal best. I have been improving steadily over the last few weeks and just hit 100 this Sunday.

Now, about the ball.

I was impressed from my first shot on. This is definitely a good ball for medium swings. I swing in the high 80s to low 90s and I was easily getting 15-20 yards more off the tee (compared to the E6). About 5-10 yards longer on non-tee shots. It was actually a little disconcerting because the first few holes I was flying over the greens. Once I made the adjustment, the balls landed on the green .. and stayed on the green (for most of the part). This ball gave me enough confidence to hit a 5I over water on a 170 yard shot. Something I would generally not want to do.

I will be ordering 6 dozen of the Pro Softs later tonight. Just don't know what color combination to get yet. Ha ha.

Thanks. That is actually exactly what I did. :)

I honestly am not a big fan of white balls (main reason I did not even bother trying the Snell MTB). But I actually really liked the matte white Pro Softs.

Also, one of my shots yesterday bounced on the cart path but the ball appears to be un-scuffed. Is that normal with urethane balls (never played with them before)?

When actually being used in sunlight, the neon red Vice Pro is quite bright. It's perfect.

I loved putting with it and could easily find it in the grass. Awesome ball.

I've been putting around the house with the Chrome Soft and Pro Soft quite frequently over the last few days. They roll quite similarly, but I find the Chrome Soft has a slight "gumminess" to it. This kind of feeling makes the Pro Soft seem a hair harder off the putter face.

Still not sure if I will be making the switch, but I thought I'd share this note for anyone coming from a Chrome Soft.

I'm a 5 handicap and have been playing the more expensive premium golf balls for the past  8-10 years.  Finally, I decided to start saving some $ and look for less expensive balls.  I bought 5 dozen ($24 per) Vice Pro Plus balls a few weeks ago and have now played 4 rounds with them.  I couldn't be happier with this ball!  They do sound slightly different than the ProV1's but they still feel nice to me and they perform very well.  Also, I've noticed they are very durable as well, especially compared to the Titleist ProV1's I've played over the years.  I'm extremely happy!

Hmmm I came across a Matte Red Pro Soft ball for the first time this weekend.  I have never heard or seen one until then, then hit it and thought not bad, did something looking into it and found they make a 4 piece Pro + ball, now I'm intrigued!!  I did REALLY like the color for sure!!

I received my Pro Softs this week and went to the range to try them on the putting and chipping green.

They look great, the mat finish is gorgeous, as well as the branding. The ball performed very well for all approach shots, better than my current gamer, a lot of spin and good feeling. However Putting was awful, I could not "feel" the ball at all, hence I could not control the distance. Thought that part of the problem came from my Yes putter, which is quite heavy and the face feels harder than my Scotty. The situation actually improved after I switched putter, but not enough to put the ball in play for my competition this weekend.

I will practice again this week with the Vice ball, and play a round next weekend, as I really like the look of the ball and the brand itself.
