I just bought a dozen of each to compare and so far I really can't see much difference. Both are very good, long and seem to launch about the same and soft around the greens. I was expecting the B330s to really excel with the wedges and around the greens but still felt they were about the same. Just looking for other peoples input as I have only tested for one day so far.

I've played both before.  Couldn't tell much difference.  I did notice the S to be about 3-4 yds ahead of the 330 off the tee.  I also demo'd a sleeve of the rxs-s.  It seemed even with the 330s.  Maybe a yard or two here or there, MAYBE.  Good balls overall.  I play pro v currently, & always purchase when they run their buy 3 dozen, get the 4th free. But if they ever end that or Bstone runs a better deal, I would probably switch.

For me a Bridgstone and Nike Golf ball guy, the B330 just feels to clicky off the putter and off the tee is LONG...where the B330S is definitely noticeably softer of the putter and almost as long which is why my back up ball is the the B300S.

I just jumped on the buy 2 get 1 free with free personalization last week and my balls arrived yesterday. I was torn between the 330 and 330s having never played either before. I'm coming from the Prov1x so I thought the 330 might be more like that but I was looking for something a little softer off the putter so I decided to go with the 330s. My buddy also did the same deal and went for the 330 because he likes it a little more firm so were going to each trade each other a ball to try out and see which we like better for next year.

It was a year ago when I put these two balls head to head with the 330 RX & RXs in a four ball shoot out. I was not aware that a new version was released in 2017 I thought the 2016 was the new model last year. I will share my findings and I apologize if the ball year is off, however I would expect each model to play very similar.

B330 VS B330S My findings were slightly different than some others. I found that the 330 was just a tad longer off the driver, but about the same off the irons compared to the B330S.  In greenside performance I noticed that the 330S  had more bite and would back up more than the 330. The 330 for me stopped in its tracks and backed up a few inches the 330S on multiple shots, backed up a couple feet. I was playing new Glide wedges last year and I was pleased with the response I got from each of these balls.
I like others preferred the feel off the putter of the 330S it was softer and I felt I got a better roll.  For me the 330 was a close winner off the tee, from the approach in I would give the win to the 330S.

This year knowing what I know about my swing I would likely go straight to the RX models I have a swing speed in the 104 range and it maxes out at about 108 this is likely why I preferred the 330RXS over the other 3 models. All four balls were good for me off the driver not enough distance  differences to sway me away from any one of the four, but both the RX models were a little longer for me from the tee.  For iron shots I would say the same, all four balls were so similar in distance off the irons I couldn't differentiate enough between them to give one a clear advantage, as for feel I would give the edge to the 330S and 330RXS.  Where I made my decision was greenside and on the green. The B330RXS  offered plenty of stopping power and behaved very similar to the 330s off the wedges, but off the putter the 330RXs had the best feel for me. As stated many times on the site, feel is different for everyone , but to me it seemed to be softer and have more weight off the putter if that makes sense? I felt my distance control with the putter was best with the RXS ball. Finally the price difference and the promo at the time made it a easy financial choice, so for me its the B330RXS closely followed by the 330S.

I will add that I made a small adjustment to my driver recently and got better performace with the  RXS.  I play a Ping G driver with the Tour 65 Shaft and I was at the neutral setting all last year. Not long ago during a demo I took my Ping driver and some RXS balls to compare against the other drivers I was testing. During the session the fitter suggested a change to the small + ( closing the face and increasing the loft a 1/2 deg. and for what ever reason the launch numbers improved without adding spin. On the course I went from a straight to slight fade ball flight to a straight to a baby draw flight and picked up a few yards. My set up has not changed  at all  there is no more than a 5-10 yard difference at most in the ball flight from the fade to the draw, the trajectory is just slightly higher and I gained about 5 yards on average in distance. It was just enough to square up the clubface a little better and I have noticed the benefit.   I am sure the RX would see similar benefits, but I feel even though the RXS is supposed to have reduced spin off the driver that this adjustment in squaring off the face has helped counteract what little added spin there is.

So are the balls currently on the "2 for 1" a 2017 ball? In other words, will there be a new B330 series coming out soon, or is this it?

I played the B330-S yesterday and was frankly surprised (not sure why) at the distance off the tee for me. Right up there with the new TP5/x balls, Pro V etc...

And, I felt I was really able to control trajectory well with my wedges.

Not sure on this I just put 2017 meaning the current ball with the NEW B stamp logo.

There are both regular stamp and B stamp 2017 balls being sold currently. Same ball, just two different logo options.

The side marking arrow design is how to distinguish 2016/2017 version from 2014/2015 or earlier.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

Cool.

I just went for the Buy 2 get 1 free (B stamp...) B330-S. Gonna commit for a few dozen however long they last and see how it effects my game.

I did some short game practice with both balls the other day, didn't really notice a big difference. The big difference for me was the sound coming off the putter vs the Pro V1 I use to play. I have heard people talk about it but I was surprised how much different the sound was, probably just caught me off guard since I have played the Pro V's for as long as I can remember.

I've been alternating in the early season between the 2 & there is no comparison.  The 2014 4 Piece is the better ball......It's longer & feels like butter off of my Mack Daddy 2 TG's.

The 2014 B330S is near perfect. After some time with the TPx I've switched back. Only problem now is that online they're about the same price as the 2016.

Yeah if you don't have a stash of the 2014/15 B330 and/or B330S it's just about too late now. They were selling cheaply and in large quantities back before Christmas and into January.

Add me in. I don't understand why they went back to 3 piece for both balls. To me that is a step backwards. All my favorite balls of the last 10 years have been 4 piece construction.

Curious to know as well. Is it due to the Titleist lawsuit?

Add me in. I don't understand why they went back to 3 piece for both balls. To me that is a step backwards. All my favorite balls of the last 10 years have been 4 piece construction.

Curious to know as well. Is it due to the Titleist lawsuit?

Has nothing to do with Titleist, just a product cycle & a new core in which Bridgestone states they can get the feel of a multi layers in 1 single solid core.

The 2016 B330S isn't a "bad ball" the 2014 B330S is like one of the above posters said "All Time Great".   The 2014 B330S flew under the radar but I've played em all & there is nothing else like it from Tee to Green.  It's also abnormally long off the tee or my new Driver/Fairway Combo just fit my swing perfectly.  I am just crushing this ball & landing in fairways.

I agree that the 2014-15 B330S is better than the current one. The same can be said for the B330. I found them to both be long off the tee, while the S has a little more stopping power. The '14 S is in the conversation of "best ball ever made".

Yeah if you don't have a stash of the 2014/15 B330 and/or B330S it's just about too late now. They were selling cheaply and in large quantities back before Christmas and into January.
I just got 6 dozen S for $150 on EBay. $25/dz. I'll take it.

Nice grab!. That's the best price I've seen in the past couple months, although I've not been watching super closely.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

If I could pick any ball to play for the rest of my life it wiuld be a tie between 2014 B330S and 2016 TPX. Why do OEMs mess with perfection. If they HAVE to change for marketing sake, why not just make cosmetic changes and keep loyal players happy. But don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

Funny, I would chose the same two. Two best balls I've ever played.
