Whoa! Awesome job, man. You did some great work and you have a very nice area to practice without having to travel to the course. Thanks for the contribution!

Nice OP!  Eventually I plan on getting one myself.  Still debating whether to DIY or just bite the bullet and have someone else install.

I loved the process! I know it was more work then I thought, but so worth it. My yard didn't allow me to access to a small machine to help with the heavy lifting, which would have made a massive difference. Only thing I wish I had access too throughout the early stages of the build.

Finally got my hands on a reel mower to cut my back grass to a nice short length. Next project. Bringing in a truck load of sand to re-level the yard for more accurate chipping. All in all. Best investment in my yet to date. Kids are on the green almost daily. My 5 year old is getting a bit of touch around the green. What more could you want!

Thank you for the excellent write up about your project!  May I ask how you secured the putting turf to the sub base?

Hey Rob....Quick question for you....I was wondering how the very cold winter has affective your green.  With mine it seems to cause things to shift somewhat.  Have you had any issues?  Also did you use nails to secure your green and fringe down?

Thanks!

Amazing.... wish I could do that in my yard.  My problem is my yard is a postage stamp and.... my dog would probably drop deuces all over it.

Good job!! 👍🏽

Rob...outstanding job and writeup. After almost a year of having it, what would you change and what would you do differently?
