I found that letting the putter hang creating the pressure point on the right index finger and the bottom of the left palm made the putter automatic.  I am very pleased with this purchase.

Congrats! How long did it take you to get it? I remember a thread where people weren't getting their putters, canceling orders, and owner having health issues.

I got mine within a week of fitting/ordering and their customer service was perfect.  They may have had an issue before but from my experience they were really good at getting back to me and making the process easy.

Just wanted to report that Directed Force shipped out my putter the same day I ordered it.  Did my online fitting Tuesday, ordered it this morning and I just got a shipping notice.

I've had my Directed Force putter for 6 months now and it's the best putter I've putted with. I changed the press grip after a few rounds with it because I didn't like it. I don't forward press and the ball still rolls extremely well. It's the easiest putter to swing. I can't stress enough how different this putter is to putt with and you won't know until you actually putt with one. It's hard to explain how it swings.

The revealer test is absolutely true. It's not just a gimmick.

I'm glad to hear that; it's reassuring.  I've got a 42" face on Directed Force on order, and there has been a delay as they wait for a shipment of long shafts.  I'm seriously antsy waiting, so it's good to know that they are shipping quickly under normal circumstances.

Been using only the Directed Force I picked up over the winter this Spring. We've had crappy weather, and very few chances, but I've been committed to using it, even with the slow greens. Last few days conditions have improved markedly.

Today a friend who I've played with for several years and played with a couple times this Spring in bad conditions and all afternoon today in great conditions suggested I stick with it for the season and not touch my other putter. Apparently the feeling of putting very well with it after adjusting to it, has been an accurate feeling.

In fact, he was so adamant about it, kind of made me wonder about my putting last year, etc. Another has been pretty positive about what he is seeing with the putter so far.

My accuracy and distance control (even on longer putts) has been really good and as I've said, this putter really forces me visually to set up properly and short to medium length putts have been really, really good now that I'm used to it. Look forward to some good outdoor practice.

If your friends feel compelled to point out how much better you are putting, probably better listen! I don't even mind hearing the humming of the theme from "Rawhide" when I take out the branding iron.

I played my first round yesterday with my DF putter and here are a few observations:

My lag puts were really bad.  I could not get the distances even close.  I had 4 three putts and a 4 put on a hole.  Wind was a major factor, 30-40mph gusts, which made putting really difficult.  I did notice that my ball was rolling where I was aimed which is a great improvement because I used to push/pull a lot of putts before.

Overall, I think with a little practice I'm going to really like this putter.  I definitely need to figure out my distances but it was nice seeing my putts roll on the line I had.

My face on version has shipped and will arrive on Tuesday.  Of course, this particular week is going to be a dead zone for golf, but soon...

Played me 1st two rounds of the year on very shaggy slow greens and struggled mightily.

Got out yesterday on a nicer course with better faster greens and putted very well. Love affair back on.

So my face on version of a Directed Force finally arrived late yesterday afternoon.  Took it out this morning and had time to hit 20 or so putts before teeing off.

I've got to say, it was spooky good.  We've all had days where we picked up a new putter and made a ton of putts; I'm not talking about that.  The feeling of this putter on the thru stroke is so good it's almost weird.  If the putter looked strange to me at the beginning of the round, by the end it looked beautiful.  It's hard not to think that is breakthrough technology.

I tried ordering this putter last year. After 3 months, the putter still hadn't shipped and I decided to cancel my order. I am still interested but I am wondering how long people are having to wait. Thanks in advance!

I ordered mine tonight. This is a very intriguing putter. I was remotely fitted by Bill himself after a few "takes" with the video so we shall see how long it will take to ship out.

Bill was very responsive to emails, mine was ordered late last fall and came really quick. Nothing about the operation or other experiences suggests you would have such a wait without explanation.

I just got the UPS tracking number this afternoon so that was quick. The only odd thing is that he didn't reply to my question on the swing weight of the DF....but I guess it won't matter much as I'll measure it myself.

Do any of you who use the DF putt with a claw style grip?  Just curious.

I have dabbled with the claw here and there. The press grip fits perfectly with the claw grip.

I had an opponent after a match question if the DF is usga legal because I was on fire inside 8ft...

Side note:  if you use a cart bag, you probably want a bag with a separate putter well on the side.  The DF takes up a ton of real estate with the head/headcover

My DF is back in the bag after a long battle with a couple other putters. I can't get over how stable and how the ball hold its line with this thing. I really love the Spider but the honeymoon phase wore off pretty fast.

agreed, thats my 1st impression as well yesterday. i had a lot of jeers and "ewww" looks on the local boyz faces at the range but hey, they aint feeling what I am feeling. Even I was astonished at the "comeback" long putts that hit the spot where I aim and the ball rolled in. I tested the long putts as well and the balance, weighting and face angle was near perfect with none of the checking backspin, just forward spin. Nice, theres something in this putter, I need to suss this out. I may do a review once I get to know the DF better. Only thing I don't like: the headcover is UGH, I think I need to get a Delilsh headcover (if they make it this size).

My only complaint with this putter is the speed the ball comes off the putter face. It takes a bigger stroke but on fast greens that's not such a bad thing. I don't play on very fast greens all the time so it takes a bit of an adjustment period.

I'm designing a headcover for Robert Mark Golf to make for the DF.  His work is A++

I realized this year that I see the lines and putt best with a ball position very far forward, (righty, ball almost middle of left foot).   Slightly unorthodox but I was getting very good results and finally felt I could trust my alignment while over the ball.

The obvious problem was the amount of loft that was being added to the putter (older Golo 5, mallet style) by that having it that far forward in my stance.  It was almost 7 degrees!  The degree of audible skidding on long putts was unnerving.

I had no desire to change putters and honestly don't find the DF putters pleasing to the eye.  So, what I did was put one of their press grips on my Golo instead of risking bending/breaking.   The grip took the loft down by 3 or so degrees and reduced initial skidding significantly.
Have not taken it to the course yet but the thinking behind it seems sound and I don't mind how the smaller version of that press grip sits in my hands.

Would love to hear if anyone else has experimented with something like this, comments, etc.
Thanks.

I use a similar positioning for the ball in my putting stance.  The press grip helps with that but even before i had it, i was not adding loft since i forward pressed already with my superstroke.  This grip made the press feel "cleaner" but you have to really let the putter fall into the right trigger finger to get a smooth release.

Two people at my club have been doing the "i should buy it dance" after demoing mine.  It is a game changer and once you get use to the slightly softer face, which is great on faster greens like ours, it makes putting much easier.

Now if only they could create a product that would keep me from yanking the handle in transition...

Been getting in more rounds and have 6 in through DECADE.

GIR, Fairways not so good.

Short game and putting are allowing me what scoring I can muster, which has been okay. 1 3-putt last 7 recorded rounds which is really good for me and accuracy on short putts fantastic. No misses 4 feet and in in those rounds, greens rolling great lately and 4 great makes 18-30 feet last night and this evening.  Confidence is way up, distance control is great right now. Not "twitchy" on the short ones, just set up and put a good stroke on it.

Strangely, didn't think I would like the grip when I first got the putter, but it feels natural now.

I just ordered a DF putter.  Can't wait for it to arrive and try it out.  I've heard a lot of good feedback about it!

Shot a 75 off the Black tees at Woodley Lakes today, some good and bad driving, irons but one thing that stood out was the Direct Force putting.

Boy, this stealthy putter saved my A$$. 31 putts overall and while that sounds "meh"....DF saved me a few times from a double bogey on disaster holes and we're talking the 12 to 16+ footer BOMBs. My mind was p*ssed from the poor play on the hole and facing a long putt to salvage a bogey...or make the hole a bigger disaster...then SAVED!

I am very impressed with the aim and how true the ball rolls to my aimpoint. Outside cup is the read and outside cup is the aiim and outside cup is where the ball started and BOOM, saved.

Bill designed the putter RIGHT. In the pilot seat, you see nothing but a stealthy putter and the aim lines. No fancy schmancy graphic, not even graphics on the forward press grip to show you where to grip. That took sometime to get used to as I like to place my hand on SOME GRAPHIC point. But nada, nothing. Everything is designed to make you focus on the aim, ZERO distraction ... infact, you have more distraction watching the grain of the grass from the pilot seat than you would looking down at my stealthy matt black :ninja: DF :ninja:

Balls were rolling true with forward spin even on some greens that were recovering from punching a month ago.

Very impressed and well worth the money I invested in it.

5 rounds, of which 2 were on greens punch 3 weeks ago so no real input on those rounds. However, been practice putting a ton on fast greens
