One thing I *dont* like about this ball, is the line going around the entire ball. I like having the small logo/line on the side for aligning putts...but I feel like with this solid wrap-around line...I'm focusing way more on trying to hit a straight putt (getting ball to rotate along the line instead of wobbling off center) than actually where I'm lined up to or how hard I'm putting. It's a total distraction for me.

I always feel that way about long alignment lines on balls I'm actually playing with. It's great if you want to chalk-line a flat 6-footer on the practice green and work on your roll but it makes for way too much mechanical focus during a round of golf.

Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

Played 3 more full rounds with these. Unfortunately, they're not was I was hoping for.

The ball is long. But I think that has more to do with low spin more so than anything else. Hit it high and it will go far. hit it low and it will run (if conditions will let it).

On full shots it feels kinda soft but overall it has very little "feel" to me at all. On partial shots (<100 yards), this was amplified. Just a dead feeling. Not soft, squishy, clicky, or hard. It was like I was hitting a ball made of heavy cardboard.

The ball has slightly more check than your standard 3 piece ball. On full shots it performed very well (ball within a foot or so of my divot every time). On wedge shots not so much but still slightly better than an average ball.

On putts, that same muted feel. Very soft and you noticeably have to hit the ball slightly harder than with ProV1 and ProV1x for the same distance.

One positive that I will ad was:
I hit the ball a decent length and am a high ball hitter. I played one round with a driver that produces a little more spin than my normal lower spinning driver. With the driver with slightly more spin, I was hitting this ball as far as anything I've ever hit.

I also really liked the colors.

My SS is over 100mph. I bought the Vibe XT's because I liked the way the Vibe looked and played. I can say that I preferred the way the Vibe played and felt over the XT. Bite for me was the same and driver distance wasn't really that bad (not as long as others though).

Maybe I am missing something here but the XTs stop for me and it is between the chrome soft and the XTs on which ball I will play..The XTs IMO are longer and straighter than the chrome soft.
In the st.Louis area the ball has sold out in most of the stores and I did find a place that had them so I bought a dozen orange and pink.
Depending on the day and my mood I will play the XTs or the chrome soft and figure I can't go wrong with either.

I agree with your comments totally!

I played so horribly on Saturday but ended up winning a greenie and a skin with XT.

I am not big fan of the feel but give high mark on driver distance and playability/spin within 130 yds.  Also, the best in visibility.  It shines in dry summer season in so cal where scenary turns beige as bush dries up.

They do fine on full shots for me as well. What was your experience when it came to half wedges and chip shots?

Half wedge checks up OK, and with chips it ran out just fine.  I quite like this ball it is straighter than, and just as long as the S3, probably not as spiny with short irons, but still spins enough.

Little review here.

Played a scramble this past weekend and I was hitting fine. One of the guys on my team plays a vicious slice and sure enough, put one in the woods. He found one of these I think in Red? And I told him to use it off the tee from now on.

No doubt, the dude still has a pretty mean slice but a lot less so and the ball was flying a lot longer and rolling out. When the end of the round came, I grabbed the ball as he said he was just gonna get rid of it and I decided to go for a long drive. These are stupid stupid long and I drove our first green with an old ping rapture 10.5 + reg flex shaft at about 365 yards.

These are fun to use in a scramble if need a guy who can just kill the ball.

I bought a box of Vivid XTs in orange.  All around I thought the ball was good performance wise.  Seemed to get sufficient spin on wedge shots and short game shots - certainly would work but certainly not as spinny as a urethane covered ball like Pro V1 or the like.  However, I got the fuzz on the cover very quickly - like in only a few shots.  Looks like the ball needs a shave.  I am back to the urethane covered balls and just tried and like the B330 - that will be my ball going forward.

No much love for the vivid xt, by the sounds of things?

I got a sleeve of the orange. It really a nice long ball off the driver. Ain't too shabby for the short game but more clicky than the Vivid on putting. Sure its not as soft as the Chrome Soft but I think where the new 2018 Chrome soft lacks is the driving (rawks every where else) and this ball is the opposite. Great off the driver but meh every where else but the meh ain't crap or shabby either. I'd play another sleeve of this as I decide between this and the 2018 CSX (yet to try...)

Also the orange is KICK a** easy to see in the dimming twilight. I could not spot my 18 CS but my buddy who using a ball from my sleeve, it was so easy to see his ball...

The XT is also a very durable ball as well. No complains in all the rounds I've had with my ball.

Good to know, but 42.99 retail seems to be high. You can buy it on line cheaper..
