Well Guy's,

It's been a while since I have been on here so I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this but this new iron is something way different than anything that has ever been in their lineup and I have to say that even though its not for me,,,,,, it's a very cool launch by Miura. I never knew game improvement could look so sexy!

I can't find them on Miuras website. They look good. Can you put up a direct link please? I see the UT and the Wedge but not the irons.

Side note. When I saw the title of this post "Discover Perfection" I thought to myself "That sounds like something Miura would write on the bottom of a Driver". lol

I know this is blasphemy, but I prefer the 0311 over these any day of the week. They should really stop trying to bring that Japanese toe shape to the North American market. Also, as someone has mentioned, why isn't their name (Miura) anywhere on this club?

I'm with you M.J. These are something that I would never put in my bag. When I first seen them I thought to myself WTF! I clicked off the page cause I thought there was something wrong and I was on some other website, so I clicked again and low and behold it was legit. My first thought were that it's ugly and why? But then when I read into it more and Miura has been bought out then it kinda made sense to me. They are definitely trying to add something to take them in a different direction, hopefully that doesn't include doing away with how things have been done for so many years. But my guess is the forging won't be done  in Japan anymore and will end up being done in Taiwan or somewhere else. I really hope I'm wrong but this new club looks like something you will see on the racks at your local golf superstore! If I wanted something that looks good and is forgiving then I too would be gaming 0311. I had a chance to hit them and they look even sweeter in person. They are longer than my 501's and CB 57's but that's probably due to the fact that they are stronger lofts. As cool as they look they lack that Miura feel that I love so much, I guess I'm just a feel guy!

You are correct, someone more informed than I can correct me if I'm wrong, but the Genesis are not "forged" at the Miura factory. I've heard they are done at the same location as the production of their woods.

I've also heard stellar feedback about these, but if that's the route I'd consider, I'd definitely go to the Cally Apex or PXG 0311 before splurging on these.

The backs are forged at Miura and then outsourced to be welded to the steel face. Then the head is returned to the Miura factory to be finished.  Miura doesn't have the technology in Himeji to do the welding of the two pieces.

The 9005's are really great for getting distance if that's what you're looking for.  The lofts are strong but the design of the club allows the normal trajectory in the short irons and much more added height for me in the long irons. Biggest shortcoming is the set is only to the 5 iron. I've heard they're possibly coming out with a 2,3 and 4 iron. I can't wait for that.  Currently have the 5 iron bent to a CB57 3 iron loft in my bag to go with the rest of  my CB57 set.  It only had to be bent 2 degrees stronger to match. ;)

I have been playing a set of these since last August.... 5-PW + 48* wedge...all with Aerotech Steelfiber shafts. I would stay away from them....longer, higher, straighter is not for everyone :taunt:
Seriously, they are fabulous irons....same great feel as all other Miura irons ....  Mine are matched up with a Passing Point NEO 3 hybrid, SIT 3 and 5 wood and the new Hayate driver...wedges are  Miura forged Black 54* and 60 *
The serial number on my set ends in 0001 :swoon:

Wait, some of the MG line is coming. I can see a set of 1008's in the bag. That is rumour though. I am not 100% certain but my source is usually spot on. It may not even be secret, but I want it to be

MG has been available for a while now. Got a 1008 as we speak. Initial impressions are, if you like the cb57, chances are you won't like 1008.

Longer heel to toe and has the Japanese toe shape.

I hate the look of that Iron....  nothing much else to say except I hope the new ownership doesn't deviate too far or at all from the roots.
