Yes. What type of questions do you have? Not much on giving reviews but will answer best I can. Coming from 4i2 prior to this and it's been awhile since I've owned anything other than Leupold so can't compare to Bushnell etc.

Is it more accurate? Quicker? Anything else that you find better or worse than the 4i2?  Thanks

I am curious about these questions as well. Can you tell the difference b/t the 4i2 and the 5i3?  If so, whats noticeably different?  Thanks!

I can't say I experienced any distance accuracy issues with the 4i2 but at times I struggled to acquire the flag and at times I found myself making multiple attempts. My home course doesn't use prisms which makes it even tougher. I actually felt the 4i2 was a step backward from 3i2 that I had before it. And for no reason other than aesthetics, I hated the look of the yellow face plate if using the slope feature.

I've had the 5i3 for a few weeks now but have only been out three times since it arrived.  So far I find it to be much easier to pickup the target and I don't recall even once struggling to pickup the flag versus trees behind the greens. It seems faster to acquire as well and some of that might be due to issues I had with 4i2 acquiring lock. Also feel the view finder is slightly more clear than on the 4i2 which I found to be a bit dim if that makes sense.  Lastly, slope is turned off via the menu system so no more having to swap out face plates. So far I'm happy.

I just played 18 with one of these. I bought a Tour Pro X2 and used it on the range a couple of times when friend mentioned this as being the best. Went to Leupold site and everybody loves the company...great customer service and they have 5 year warranty. So, I sent the X2 back and ordered the Leupold.  Wish I hadn't. Personally find it hard to get the flag distances. Constantly getting different figures. Great when looking at traps, but not flags. Short distance, no problem, say inside 100 yards.  I'm going to call them to see if it's me or the unit. But right now I'm regretting the purchase.

Just in case, make sure "Fog" mode is turned off in the menu. Mine was on by default out of the box and if I didn't know better from owning previous models I would have returned it for some of the same reasons you mention. If that doesn't work you might have a faulty unit.

The older Leupold optics have a blue/green-ish tint.
Is that still the same with the GX-5i3 ??

Thanks.

Not something that I've noticed, no.

Sounds like you both have faulty units, I have one too.

I bought the GX-5i3 a couple weeks ago and it was faulty out of the box---Leupold not standing behind it like they should (in my opinion).  If a brand new sealed unit from an authorized dealer is defective straight out of the box I believe a brand new unit is in order.

I have a Nikon that is over 10 years old and a Bushnell that is at least 6 years old, never had a problem with either.

Leupold outsources all their rangefinders to subcontractors in Asia, it just doesn't appear that quality control is up to snuff.

What a shame.

Yes. I bought a leupold 4i and 4i2 and returned both of them after a day. Had problems picking up flags and after 4 holes, I just left it in the bag. Trying to lock onto anything was horrendous. Never had a problem with my Nikon coolshot 20 or my newer pro x2. A shame about the leupold. It seems like, it's more a quality control issue than anything.
