Got myself into a great dilemma here. After several years of bagging the famoUs tourstage Z101s I think it's time to try something new. I'm Sticking with the JDM route for obvious reasons and im deciding between the Titleist VG3s (2014) or miura cb501s ... I've hit both and love them. Let me know if you guys game either of these and how they perform... or how they don't.
Also let me know if there's anything else worth trying out there.

Cheers

i would certainly look at the cb-57 before you go the 501 route more playable and in my opinion the scoring clubs look much cleaner

^^^^^ what he said.
Have played the VG3s, hit the Miura 501s and owned and played OnOff Kuro and Miura CB-57. Still have the OnOffs (and a set of Tourstage TS-202)
Totally agree with poster above about CB-57 beating the 501s.
Not sure the VG3s should be in same conversation; don't get me wrong the VG3s paly nice and are good clubs just whole different look (&feel) from Miuras, etc.

I think your decision, once hitting all of them, will come down to CB-57 vs Onoff.
Good news - hard to go wrong with either of those

If you liked the Z101's, you should consider the Epon AF302's.

You can`t go wrong with anything from Miura.

That being said, I have recently been very impressed by Onoff (esp. their wedges in black). And, their latest irons look absolutely stunning, though the goldish hue in the finish is not for everyone. http://onoff.globeri...iron/index.html - I mean, just look at the grooves. Sick.

Exactly, thickness matter :-) to me anyway.
As to the OnOff choice, because i tend to be weird, I actually owned, at same time, sets of both 2013 and most recent ones 2015/6?.  Both are beautiful and play superb with distance and comparable forgiveness.
For me, I did not see any significant improvement in my game/iron play with the new over the 2013s (YMMV). Therefore I decided to sell the ones with higher $$ return. Could have played either (with right shaft) and been equally happy I believe.  AS a general rule you can usually find better deals on the '13s but poke around, including Rakuten and here on wrx, and you can find recent set at good prices too.
good luck

Can i throw Srixon into the mix, moved from API2 titleist with X100 shafts to the 765 srixon irons, amazing set of clubs, very responsive, my carry distance has improved and they feel like a great set of irons.

i've been playing the 501s for a few years now and can't say a bad word about them. I'm sure the the 57s will be just as good, if not better.

Can't go wrong with Miura.
