Just because they are the same length doesn't mean they are one size fits all.  You might need them longer or shorter than the next guy.  Also, a fitting would cover shaft type and flex, and grip size.  A fitting might also reveal another iron better suits your game.  Yes, get fit.

I played with a chap who was using a set of these for the first time. He hit the longer irons really well, but as soon as they transitioned in to the "shorter" clubs (8 iron and below) he really struggled. His attempts to chip and pitch with a 7 iron length sand wedge were particularly comical, as was his distance control. On one particular approach shot he flushed his wedge and it airmailed the green by 30 yds. In the bar after I asked him what his thoughts on them were. He just said "eBay".

Personally, I don't know why anyone would ever be interested in using such bats, and I'm amazed that Cobra have gone all in on clubs that offer nothing but novelty value. I'm also outraged that you don't get a free flat cap with every purchase.

Maybe they should have made the sand, gap and pitch one length... 9,8 one length, 7,6,5 one length 4,3 one length. Just thinking out loud.

I hit the F7 one length during a demo day.  As a left, it was my only option (no forged for lefties) so I sent my 900F back to my fitter for a reshaft to get 4-7 one length and keeping the rest standard.  Hopefully I'll get them back in the next week or two and can begin testing.  There's a shop right down the street with Trackman and they will help me out with any loft adjustments on the spot.

A full one length set doesn't appeal to me but long irons one length does.  If it doesn't work, I still have my other shafts to throw back in.

I like the design ideas of the Wishon Sterlings.... soft steel and high COR designs to influence ball speed for height and distance. 36.5" also seems like a more manageable length in the shorter irons.

Still waiting for the leftie iron head release and then I'm building a 1/2 set to play with before I decide to go all in.

Do you still need to be fitted for them ?
Do you like your hybrids? Hit them well?
Do you like your 5 & 6 iron? Hit them well?
Do you like your 9-PW and wedges/chipper? Hit them well.
If you do, likely one length are not for you. If you hit your 7 or 8 iron consistently/well and the others inconsistently, maybe for you.
And yes, you should be fit for length, lie, shaft flex and grip size, the only difference is once fit, all clubs the same length and lie angle.

All I've heard is good things about the long irons. Why is no one buying single length 3-7 then normal length 8-PW?

And maybe this place isn't the target audience but the Cobra rep our club deals with said that demand is at least twice as high as their projections.

No idea if he's blowing smoke though.

You need high club head speed to be able to have 7 iron length in the the 4 - 6 irons. I have 80 mph club head speed with the Cobra one length irons. I hit the 4 iron and the 5 iron the same distance. So my set up is 3 iron King Utility, 5 iron King Forged Tour, 6 - GW King Forged One.

Yep... I demoed the 5 iron at dicks a few weeks and if the associate there tried to get me to buy em I would of ran through the wall to get away. I kinda think that having these at retail stores that dont do fittings is not a great idea.

I decide to give these a try, (5i - GW) and have about 6 rounds with them in the bag.  Mine are built to match my old favorite club my 8i (4* upright and +1/2").  I bought from Golf USA Manhattan Kansas because they offered so many custom options through their web site.  So far I'm pleased with how they perform for me.  I have always struggled with my longer irons, seldom carrying a 5i and a little uncomfortable over a 6i.  The 5i is so easy to hit I'm planning to order a 4i and getting one more hybrid out of the bag.  I've hit a couple hundred range ball and the the gaps look pretty close to my G20's.  Been a little windy here when I've been on the course so not completely sure about the gaps it looks like the 5i is coming in about 4 yds short of my old 5i when I hit it well.  The big difference is I almost always hit this one well.  One setup one swing all I can say is it is working for me.

This is what I found when I tried my friend's Sterlings. I really launched the 5 super low and the 6 wasn't much better. Rest of the clubs fine though. I actually liked the 8-PW "soft steel" heads but the others felt poor to me and the sound was horrible, really loud and pingy.

Love the concept just not sure it's for me but am aware these weren't my specs and I'm sure that's a massive issue for anyone looking to seriously try these irons out.

I have a friend who tried single length irons (not the Cobras) for awhile. He is looking to get rid of them after a few months.

He struggles to elevate longer irons and this is just made worse with single length irons. The 4-5 irons are shorter than normal so they have to strengthen the lofts more to get the correct distance gaps.

I don't understand how it can possibly be one stance, one swing unless you are playing golf exclusively on a trackman simulator or you always have a perfect fairway lie.  You are always in a different stance and you always have a different plane because you are hitting the ball off of the ground*.

Getting SL in the low irons makes a whole lot of sense for high swing speed players because the miss is center-face contact.  Getting SL in the mid and high irons makes zero sense, unless there is something I'm missing.

*This assumes you are playing golf on planet Earth.

Yep... I demoed the 5 iron at dicks a few weeks and if the associate there tried to get me to buy em I would of ran through the wall to get away. I kinda think that having these at retail stores that dont do fittings is not a great idea.

How's that any different than having all their conventional club models at retail stores ??  Retail stores suck in terms of being able to really fit golf clubs.  Proper fitting should only be done like a tailor makes a suit.  One expert in fitting and custom building the clubs doing all the measurements and analysis on one golfer at a time to determine the right lengths, lofts, lies, face angles, shaft weight, shaft flex, shaft bend profile, total weight, swingweight, set makeup, grip size, then making the clubs from scratch so every one has those specs.  Not "here hit this, hit that, and I think this is the one for you."

Can't even come close to real fitting at a retail golf store.  But it's what you get when the industry forces a standard off the rack, volume business model on retail stores who can then only make 25% margin on the clubs and pay the sales staff a princely sum of $10/hr because the clubs are over distributed and nothing more than a commodity where the store with the lowest price gets the sale.

Sorry but anyone who can't see that buying off the rack in a typical retail golf store has always been a horrible way to spend money deserves it when they end up with clubs that don't perform as well as they could and should.   Consumers may be smart about shopping around to find the lowest price but they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to knowing what real fitting is and can do when done right by an expert.
