Well I caved and bought a tour red. My pro didn’t have the black and getting it from him meant I could try it on the actual practice green rather than an AstroTurf mat at a store.

Had to hit it a little harder than my usual milled putters, but what a putter. First 9 holes I took 14 putts. Faded second nine with standing around in the cold and therefore leaving longer putts on our wet bobbly greens, but I love it already. No signs of paint chipping after one round, although I’m being very careful to get dirt out the grooves etc every hole.

Mine also seems to sit square but it think it’s how I hold the putter.

I had a SAM fitting and got fit into a Tour Platinum (above the red and black and demonstrably needed the alignment aid)

I love the alloy insert in this putter, though I don't like the red and silver finish. Sold on the design though. Absolutely going to try out the red and the black, with alignment aids and double bend shaft.

Love the stroke and shape of the Tour Spider Black. Just can't get used to having no sightline. Makes me second guess my line if I don't line up the ball. Tried adding a sightline but since it's not factory done, I end up doubting that as well.

Funny...

When the non-sight lined versions came out last spring, my only hesitation with picking up my ‘black’ was due to lack of of a line...

I had used the grey/red model that had come out in 2016 and I liked the sight line on it...

Funny enough, I’m now so used to my non sight-line black, and putted so we’ll with it (1.7 avg to close the season), the DJ ‘T’ thing and other attempts to add lines look silly to me now and wouldn’t consider adding lines at all...

Guess it’s an individual taste thing I suppose.

Completely agree, last year I tried adding lines to mine but ultimately no sight line worked the best.  For me, I have a tendency to watch the putter in the back stroke with a line on it, I guess subconsciously I think I can keep it straight/fix it if it isn't on the front stroke.  The result are bad putts.  With no line it is some much easier for me to concentrate on the ball which resulted in better putts.

My DJ was fine. My Day chips like Eric Estrada.  I'm totally psychotic about always using the cover and I clean my clubs with a soft bristle electric toothbrush. The J Day has massive issues.

Wonder why the Red has so many more quality issues than the Black ??

I bought my first Black and it has zero paint chipping issues - Decided to try the Red early last fall, and the paint around the insert started falling off upon the first putt, crazy...

Traded it in for a backup Black and the new Black, like the first one has no chipping issues whatsoever.

Really unacceptable for the Red to have so many issues when it is such a pricey product.

I've got maybe one small knick on the toe side and thats about it. I would just recommend keeping the head cover on while it's in the bag:)

I'm getting the T sightline added to my spider tour by ClubChampion for $40-ish. They said they would need to ship it out to their HQ. Just an option if you guys also want it.

Just bought a black, will be my second go round with one...  first time I really liked the feel but longer putts were giving me issues...

Went in to my local store last week and was casually putting with one...  was making everything, of course.  Figured it was time to give it another try.  If I can just get the speed on longer putts down, it may just bench all my Scotty’s....
