I wanted to post a quick review of the Fujikura Speeder Pro 84 Tour Spec.  I recently ordered a custom Titleist 917F2 3 wood with this shaft in an X flex.  This shaft has a very noticeable kick in the lower section but produces a low/mid ball flight.  The shaft is backweighted which is a really interesting feeling that I really like.  I believe it is 89 grams in the X flex but feels more like 75ish, probably because of the backweighting.  For me, the club almost swings itself.  I get the shaft going and it almost pulls me through the ball when it kicks.  It is very similar in feel to the Nippon Modus3 120 X shafts.  Those too have a noticeable kick at the bottom and both unleash a lot of power into the ball from the lower kick point.

Since I've had the club, I've been to the range twice and played once.  I knew on the range that this was probably the best club I have ever owned.  I didn't really know how far the ball was going though.  I went out to play a few days ago and was killing it on the range before the round.  I got on the fist tee which was a par 4 that was just under 400 yards.  I hit the best 3 wood of my life.  I aimed down the left directly at a 50 foot pine tree that was about 230-240 yards off the tee.  I hit the ball and was shocked as it launched up in the air and immediately flattened out and carried forever.  I figured out with my rangefinder that I hit the ball 280 yards.  I think one other time I hit a long 3 wood and it went 265.  I hit the ball 250 with a mediocre swing and mediocre contact.  I have never had a club that played like this club.  I'm also planning to put the Modus3 120 X in my irons.  I hit a total of 12 balls on two different days and every single shot was dead center on the club face.  Golf just got a lot easier.

I used to play the Tour Spec Pro 95 in my driver back in '03.  Loved that shaft.  It is still in my garage, I should dig it out.  Thx for the post

I played the Pro 95 up until I got this new 3 wood.  It was in a Titleist 910F.  It was a great shaft but this shaft is way more responsive and easy to swing.  Even though the weights are similar, the Speeder Pro 84 feels much lighter.

It doesn't appear that callaway offers this shaft, which is strange. Is this a made for Titleist shaft?

I change too much to list it. Working on that...

I know this shaft is on Fuji's website as one of their new shafts this year.  Titleist probably just got it first.

So that's the same as the pro tour spec?

I'm not sure.  I play all Titleist so I will generally call Titleist customer service and ask them because Titleist has or can get shafts that are not listed in their special order catalog.  Try calling Callaway.
