I'm a lucky CB 57 iron player. MCI 120s, best shafts, best set I've ever had. I hit the Cally DBD driver and Tour Edge 3 wood and hybrids. Again, very happy. Gone from 8 to 6.

But it's been over a year and I'm getting the itch. No way I'm putting my set away, but I want to try and piece together a backup set --a change of pace. Maybe something that looks good too, but is easier to hit?

Would love to inspire some recommendations on irons, woods, hybrids, wedges. Thinking M2 driver, Srixon 565/765 irons, iBlades... shaft recommendations (thinking Modus 105s)?

Let me have it!

Vega irons would be perfect. It's very forgiving and member here sells Vegas for very cheap frequently.. like $350 for iron set.

I think you do not buy back up sets, they happen. Some day you will be attracted to or be interested in another set and at the time you actually buy the other set you will have your back up set whether it be the new set or the old one. It's pretty difficult not to go shopping once in a while and something will attract you at one time or another.

Simple. Miura Baby Blades.

For me, I was opposite of you. I had Baby Blades, wanted CB-57. When the Miura announcement was made earlier this year, it became a no-brainer.

I went retro for a backup bag. It's great fun to take the Wilson blades, ping persimmons and good old Odie putter on holiday in their canvas bag.
For you cause its your money I'm thinking Hogan and wood bros.
Best is when the brother in law comes to town.  I let him play my $$ clubs and I take the Olde Skoolies out. Still beat his butt!

I can Break Rocks
Krank F-5.. UST Tour
Adams Speedline 15* Wasabi stiff
XXIO 5 wood , proprietary shaft
Wilson 2 iron from the 1980s, teaspoon shaft unknown.
Mizuno MP-52 3-PW (48*), DG X100
Mizuno MP R-12 at 54* and 60* DG spinners.
Bettinardi C-01
Costco Signature golf ball.

h WELL . its always evolving BUT   one thing   im sure of is,  bec its new, its NOT better.

most , ewrrr  in  fact  except for one set of prgr  nabla tour irons and a cpl of sets of forged baldes , all my  sets   are from   pre  2011, after that I think they  went  to  pot,  quality dived as sales dived.
seriously, there is no better  mid/low  players CB than these thing ive got up here, they are  Endo superb.

you can keep the kuros et all............

don't hold a candle  IMO.
