Love this bag, looks like his i25s have a rounded bounce grind on them or is it just my imagination?

He was at Northwestern for one semester.  Does that even qualify as a letter winner in the athletic department?

Until not long ago, his irons were full i25s, were they not? Interesting that he upgraded to S55 instead.

From all the available putters in tour, he chose Yes!

Funny that was my first thought. It's possible that he never even finished a class there. Not sure he should be sporting their logo.

Awesome

He has been using a mix set of i25, s55 since his am days. The Yes! putter is the reason why he never signed a club deal with ping

You'd be absolutely correct, in spite of the short time that he spent at Northwestern, the head coach for the golf team has spoken about the impact that Fitzpatrick had on the team. He turned up there having just won the US Amateur and it seems that his hard work and commitment to his golf had a large impact on the other guys in the team. He still associates himself with the school and goes back when he can. He might not have gotten anywhere near finishing but I don't think anyone at Northwestern would have a problem with him sporting their logo on his golf bag.

He might not have gotten anywhere near finishing but I don't think anyone at Northwestern would have a problem with him sporting their logo on his golf bag.
I also believe it was a tough decision for him to leave.  Winning the US Am and being the #1 Amateur in the world opens up a lot of doors.  He wasn't going to be able to effectively make use of his exemptions, contribute to his team, and go to class.  Given that his long term goal was to be a professional, he chose to try and take advantage of the opportunities presented to him.  That's a great problem to have, but unfortunately it meant putting off his education and never again being able to play college golf.  That's heavy stuff for an 18 year old.

I count 15 clubs plus putter = 16 clubs. He probably is taking either the 2 driving iron or the 5 wood depending on the course, but what else is left out normally? 3 iron?

Interesting he couldn't give up the Yes putter for a club contract with Ping.  But he'll probably win more with the putter than he'd make with a club deal.

Love seeing 7 woods out there

I do wonder if the 7 woods are just set really open and more along a 5 wood loft?  So like hi's 20.5* st at -0.75 is just at 19.75* so still kinda weak for a 5 wood, but I guess his head could be a lower loft than stated.
