What do you all think is the best low-spinning "Premium" ball on the market today?  I historically have played the v1x, but with all these prov1 changes this year, I am interested in maybe changing my ball for this season.  My home course has firm greens, as we changed to new MiniVerde Bermuda 5 years ago, and I have no problem with greenside spin using the older v1x's. However, I would like a lower spinning ball for irons and my woods.  What is out there?

You really need to try the Srixon XV. I was a V1x loyalist for about 6 years, and it was night and day when I switched how much more I liked the XV.

Some accuse it of being clicky, but it's really not bad. Its performance in the wind and off the tee is phenomenal and more than makes up for any shortcomings with feel.

Is the B330s lower spinning than the regular B330, having been a v1x fan for so long, I haven't ever played a bridgestone ball.

I am definitely a feel player, but I am really interested in trying anything!  What sold you on the change from the v1x?

Nope, the B330 is the lower spinning model.

I think he forgot, that you want a ball, that also spins less with the irons than the v1x...
...which is in my opinion not the B330s, but maybe the B330.

However, if the TM advertises are true, then you should try the TP5x, which should be exactly what you are looking for (or maybe the new Z-Star XV).

The "2016" Nike RZN Tour Platinum or Black ( if you don't mind the fact that they are discontinued but still available ) is an excellent wind ball that has low spin with Driver and woods, yet it still has plenty of spin around the greens and on approach shots. It also has great feel with 74 compression ratio . It can be had for a song and dance if you look hard enough. PGASS has them at $19.97. I absolutely love this ball and have no interest in playing any other at that price.

it's going to depend a lot on your swing. Do searches here and on Google, you'll see there is not a definitive answer. I have found through trial an error that Chrome soft seems to give me the best of all my golfing needs... Decently low spin on driver and pretty good launch and spin on my wedges. I've found for me that the new Bstone balls do spin less overall, both off driver and wedge. Personally, I'll take some extra stopping power into the green with a Chrome Soft, than 3-4 extra yards of roll with my driver.

All the launch monitor tests I've seen show the B330s current version having slightly less spin off driver and more off irons and around the greens. Ball speed was slightly higher with b330 but distance was same off driver due to lower spin and higher launch of s. The tests were on MGS and individuals on this site. Would agree with you that past versions, the s definitely spun more off all clubs.

Okay I just picked up some B330S balls, gonna give them a try this weekend with this February heat wave.  I did look on the forums and saw some of these same results, What is MGS?  The B330s has had the same model for the last year, correct?

I will try them!  Being a feel playing, I'm not a huge fan of "clicky" golf balls, but I am totally down to give them a try.

I think we don´t need to be nitpicking, because we agree, that the B330 spins less than the B330s in most cases...
...and if you look at the comparison test from the Srixon homepage:

http://www.srixoneur...star-balls.html

...you see, that the B330 and B330s spin is the same with the driver (at least at 112 mph CS).

Agree. Didn't mean to come across as nitpicking. Think it is great they engineered the B330s to spin less off driver than regular b300. For original poster, pick up '14 version of the b330. It has less spin off all clubs. I played it 2 seasons ago. It was great off the driver but released a little too much for me in firm consotions off irons.

Nike RZN Tour Black for me. Outperforms the 2017 Z Star XV by a surprising margin.

I really like that Srixon are donating a decent amount to charity from every dozen sold here in the U.K. I hope they sell bucket loads.

If by "premium" you mean urethane construction, the B330-RX doesn't spin a lick.

Or if by "premium" you don't want urethane but you still want to pay $3 or so per ball then NXT Tour fits the bill.

But most "Tour" type balls (except that B330-RX) differ by a few hundred rpm here or there, it'll be hard to find one with a whole lot less spin than the others.
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

If you're able to try out the Nike RZN Tour Platinum at a good price, I would highly suggest doing so. I am in the midst of a torrid love affair with that ball, after playing ProV1 & V1X for almost six years. I love everything about the ball. Not too hard, seems to want to go nowhere but straight, and fairly receptive to greens. I'm not able to rip a RZN back 8 feet with a wedge like I can with a ProV1 or Vice Pro, but they hold greens very well without spinning back. I'm close to dumping my 8 dozen ProV1's and just stocking up on RZN Plats.

I was a club short with the Bridgestone balls due to them spinning far too much.
The best I have found are the Tour PreferredX and I imagine the new tp5x to be better still.
Not liked any of the Titleist balls for about 10 years.

^This. I've said on more than one occasion that in my opinion, the RZN TP is one of the finest balls out there. It feels great, stops nicely with irons, and is great off the driver with not too much spin.  Just ironic that Nike got it right in the year they threw in the towel.

Was of the same opinion with the 330S: felt great, but it did seem to come up a hair short. No matter - the stock of RZN TP's I have moved Bridgestone out.

Well the B330-RX is super long for me, low driver spin for sure. My SS is between 100-103 so I can also play the B330 just the same.  Some say the B330 RX doesn't have enough greenside spin, however I have never had an issue getting it to stop on a dime.  It may not suck back 8-10 feet but it stops quick enough

^This. I've said on more than one occasion that in my opinion, the RZN TP is one of the finest balls out there. It feels great, stops nicely with irons, and is great off the driver with not too much spin.  Just ironic that Nike got it right in the year they threw in the towel.

I was a club short with the Bridgestone balls due to them spinning far too much.
The best I have found are the Tour PreferredX and I imagine the new tp5x to be better still.
Not liked any of the Titleist balls for about 10 years.

Was of the same opinion with the 330S: felt great, but it did seem to come up a hair short. No matter - the stock of RZN TP's I have moved Bridgestone out.

I also liked the feel of the Bridgestones but no use for me in the wind.
I also liked the Nike rzn Black although they can scuff up a little.

So many options but no clear winner.

I think we have go get out and try lots to really know. Some balls that some have mentioned here as low spinning are high spinners for me.

Would appear individual swing types and speeds have a different effect on the ball.

Costly exercise, but that's golf!

I'm currently down to 3.5 dozen RZN Tour Plat and they're awesome balls. Never lost one in the wind and they feel just right and soft. However, in the recent outing i found a ProV1 plucked in the wet grass and decided to give it a shot and it felt like every shot was half a club longer at least for me. I was consistently missing it long or on the long side of the green for the rest of the day
