So wish PING would implement adjustable weights into their putters.

While I think these putters are clean and gorgeous, it feels like Ping is switching to a 3 month span between putter releases.  Seriously, how many new putter lines have they had over the last year?

I love it. When Ping decides to make a great golf club, they deliver. They have put out some great stuff lately, the iblade/i200 is underrated. These PLD's look phenomenal.

They are really starting to confuse me.  They had milled product a couple of years ago that was good but evidently overpriced because it didnt move.  Then the TR Cadence models.  Now the Vault-very nice putter with pricing more in line.  Then the $900 Karsten series with the personal grind, and now Sigma G due this week.  Now PLD?  I dont think it matters if tour or not and by judging the pictures they brought some of everything.  I do really like Ping stuff but it is getting difficult to figure out the direction. and i know that I missed some.  Some it just appears to be slightly rebadged product.  Not hating, just asking-

I could be wrong but 2016 was PING's 50th Anniversary for the Anser putter. I think the TR 1966 and the Karsten series were limited editions to celebrate 50 years. I believe the Sigma is the replacement for the Cadence line. Vault and PDL perhaps venturing into the higher end and customizable....not sure.

I went to the PLD website https://puttinglab.ping.com to build my own version of that black beauty with the sight dot and all they have available is the standard milled Anser.

I'm so disappointed! I wonder if they will offer more models and finishes down the road?

PLD Anser is out there for order but the photos in this thread show other models as well.  Maybe that's the "tour only" aspect being mentioned.

Super cool putters.  Ping has a history of dabbling in the higher end of the putter market from time to time (JAS line for example) but I think the PLD is the first time they openly offered custom options.  Good stuff.

I love the smooth faces on a few of those. Probably feel more solid than those awful TR grooves.

I'll take an Anser 2.

Hopefully the underwhelming release of the Anser with color options is just the precursor to what we see above.

Glad they did the PLD custom Anser.  Just need more options, but its a start.  Not crazy about he bumper design on the Anser PLD, and need a sound slot option.  Maybe this will evolve with lots more custom options.

These look great. Really happy to see blank heads and sight dots, instead of the boring, predictable and, more to the point, off-putting sight line on the rear flange, which they seem to insist on adding to every retail putter. Kudos!

Obviously the bad news is it sounds like these are tour only. Why!!?

Hint to Ping: These are exactly the sorts of putters and options you should be offering at retail, at a reasonable price. Simple, clean, high quality putters with minimal fuss and various sight aid options. You seem to have realised that less is more when it comes to irons (for example the i200's which look phenomenal). Perhaps you could start applying this aesthetic approach to your putters too?
