I used to have two weights in my GBB. It works well. You can also do fun things with the positioning for added MOI or shot bias.

I've tried. I did the special order through golf galaxy for the extra 50% trade. Callaway says they can't make changes to any GG order unless GG corporate calls them. They said it is in their contract, I guess they've gotten burned in the past.

Calling GG customer service was absolutely useless. I spent 10 minutes trying to explain what a special order was to the girl. I can't believe how much my head hurt, granted I didn't expect a CSR to know about special orders, but I did expect them to at least be able to give me someone that could help.

I just have to hope they give me two weights. If not, at least they are out there and I should be able to find one in the future.

I've done this with my M1 and switched out the weight in my jetspeed to a heavier weight because I play 44.5" shaft. This is way easier than hot melt and can always be removed if you want to sell to someone with a linger shaft length. Performance difference will be extremely small. Just watch some of Rick Shields videos on how little moving weights actually does to the end results.

I agree with others, 17 grams seems awful high.  Interested to see what they weigh out to.  I believe the sliding weights in the GBB weighed 10 grams.

I would be curious if the tracks are the same on the GBB and GBB Epic and if the weights are interchangeable.

Don't you have a pot or coke scale you can weight it on?

Those in the biz call it a triple beam.

could be a digital, or even the old school hand held postage scale from the office supply store. They were good within a gram....lol

Sorry, back on topic....

Triple beams are the best.  They never need calibration and last as long as a K. Smith swingweight scale.

There's a pod cast on Cally's website, says if order like an inch short, they include 2 weights, of different sizes, to allow adjust swing weight....dont think they intended to run both simultaneously unless like a E range or higher swing weight.

This kind of pisses me off. I ordered mine at 45" and it came delivered at a C9 swingweight. I called customer service and they want me to send the club back so they can "test" it and see if there is any way they can make it heavier. I asked if they had a different weight set up and was told no and all the weights were one weight. Mine is sitting here with lead tape on a brand new custom ordered driver. That's just slack on their part.

That doesn't sound kosher with my Callaway experience. I'd call them again and work my way up the chain if the entry level folks buck it.

Ordered mine 44.5. It didn't come with two weights but still swingweights at D3.

Wonder what they did? Add hot melt?

What are folks seeing for total headweight with their Epic?

I just got my Epic with D+70@45". Came in right around D3.  I did order it with the lighter ndmc grip (I think the option was 47g), so that helped out. Need to get a scale and check the weight and head.

How are the dual weights treating you guys?  Any thought to moving one to each side of the track to help forgiveness?  Or would that kill launch?

I'm still waiting on my second sliding weight to arrive but since they'll be two different weights I'll probably keep them both at neutral or have the lesser weight be barely in the fade setting.

Posted ImageMy weights were the same and swing weight was just over D3 at 44".  A little bench grinding on the edges of the weights took it down to D0 where I like it and the weights fit together much better.

Standard length comes with one 17 gram weight. Shorter by inch or more come with two 11 gram weights (not two 17 grams).  Weighed mine and a couple others who ordered theirs at 44.5 and 44 inches. All 11 gram weights.

Is there any place to buy an additional weight? I tried it at 44" but the sw is way too low. Was looking to unload it, but if I can get an extra weight, I might be able to make it work

One might pop up on eBay but other than that no. Check above and make your own..

I play mine slightly spread apart. one in the heel, the other behind center of face.  I have not found any reason to change anything.

I played my older version of the GBB with dual sliders the same position.

I read/heard the same so I keep mine together.  It also works out really well in this position.   However, from a mechanical standpoint, I don't know why it would matter.

Yeah, they said they wouldn't send one. I guess I could try again.

Definitely. The guy I spoke to just asked three questions: Whats the current swing weight? What do I want the swing weight to be? And whats my address to send an extra weight. I kind of embellished my story a little to make my request sound better but I don't even know if that was needed.

Billy Bob's Golf is suppose to have sliding weights soon. Give them a call.
they told me that a month ago, did they actually give you a date of when they'll have them?

Did you call Callaway about getting another weight?

Also if anyone is interested in swapping a 17gram weight for an 11gram one let me know

Ok, sounds like I'll give them a ring Monday. What # did you call and what options did you push to get to that CS area?

Just wanted to see if anyone had luck finding an extra weight.  I need 17 grams and Callaway won't sell/send me one.  Any help would be great.  Thanks
