Just spotted this thread in the corner of my eye and it reminded me that my dad's old set of clubs were maxfli A10's. Dug them out and they're still in pretty good nick (dad has only just started playing again after 5 years away from the game, and he was always pedantic about iron covers). Didn't realise they were so well revered, although i remember them being very unforgiving for a wee tyke like myself playing back when i was a junior....

Very nice find, good thing he held  onto the A10's. I can't wait to hit the set i found on ebay. Please give us your review of the A10's vs your MP-4's. Thanks.

Hold tight, I won't get a chance to do a proper review for a few days, but I'll keep this in mind next time I get a chance

agree on those beautiful 1 and 2 irons.

I'm still gaming mine with 2 back-up sets (one is with my brother).

What have people moved on to after having played the Maxfli Revolutions?

I'm thinking of Wishon 565MC's...

What about you?

I only "moved on" because I was in the position to pick up and try some different blades that have been on my "list"

Rev's are going no where though, I will be buried with them :)

One day I will send them off to be restored and shaft them up with C Tapers. They are just too good of an iron to let go. Maybe Ill even shaft up the 1 and 2 then :)

I went to around 6 other sets between 2009 and 2016 and came back to the Revolutions. Took another short break to try something more modern, but I'm back to a Revolution/Aussie Blade combo set now.

That sucks. Compared to the Revs, they have a squarer toe, deeper heel, thinner, and even softer/purer feeling, if that was even possible. One reason I love this iteration of the Aussies is how long they are heel to toe (longer than my TM MB and X-Protos), but yet with a very thin topline.

I still have the Aussie Blades in practice bag. They were my gamers for maybe 10 years. I don't think any current blades are significantly better.
